Just got the Michelin Crossclimate 2's for my wife's Highlander.

I had no idea these things would look so mean in person....... that said, these should be an excellent tire for rain in Texas and good for moderate snow when going back to the Midwest in the winter.

What tires on your other vehicles are you running? Any good finds out there?

I'll post a 90 day review later in the spring.

I'm considering these for my wife's Tuscon since I can't convince her she needs AT3W's and a lift...

No doubt lol. The previous iteration of this tire was also highly liked. it's not the cheapest that 240 a tire but if you can go to Costco (and its in stock) you can get a deal.

I will say this, it is super smooth, quiet, and very fast to accelerate.

Yokohama Geolander G015 :p or Goodyear Assurance Weatherready?

No jokes with Goodyear Assurance Weatherready though. After this friend got them another friend got them too. They are 3peak rated tires so they can run year round without the trouble of changing. Since here in CO we have many days over 45F even in winter dedicated winter tires may not work. (Highlighted the word "may" as I'm not sure, since I think winter tires should run less than 45F. Not a tire tech so I might be wrong)

We had Continental CrossContaxt LX on my wife’s Murano when she had it. Liked them a lot, handled well in all weather conditions Colorado could throw at them.

I really like the General Atimax RT43 on my Volvo XC70. I like them so much that it's on its third set. I also really like the Nitto NT555s that I have on my LS1 Firebird. Those are a fantastic tire, great grip, acceptable in the rain, and were a bargain, at least when I bought them.

We had an ice storm here in the Metroplex a few days ago. Waited till 11:30PM for all of the loonies to be home and try the Cross Climate's on the side streets. (In Texas freeways are brined and intersections dusted with sand. Translation: Roads turn into an ice-rink at night).

I was surprised that at 15 to 20mph the tires gripped on ice! The compound stayed soft at 10 degrees. 99.5% of the time there is Ice, you should be indoors. However for that unlikely emergency, its good to know these tires got your back.

I have General Altimax RT43's on my corolla and wife's Rav4. Excellent wet weather traction.

Yup! I love these on my Volvo. They're also great in the snow.
