    Hello all,

I installed the XenonDepot Philips HID 4300k kit for my 4Runner about 2 weeks back. I've noticed that the color temperature between the bulbs are different. One is closer to 5000k and one looks to be under 4000k. Both the bulbs' little blue boxes had identical markings and part numbers upon inspection.

I've contacted XenonDepot and they told me that this is a normal chemical reaction with some sort of salt inside the bulb and that I should run it for a few hours where it will settle to the same color.

So far, I've driven 1000 miles with the headlights purposely turned on even in the day, and the color temperature still remains different.

Anyone else have a similar experience? Is XenonDepot pulling my chain or should I just keep using these bulbs as they will actually settle in color?

Thanks for your reply and pictures

Currently, they're not replying to my email anymore and when I call their number, it just plays the audio of a 4Runner YouTube video from The Fast Lane Car..... XenonDepot is seeming sketchy

EDIT: Okay, so I got in contact with them and they are going to be sending replacement bulbs. Hopefully, they new ones match. I will update this thread after I get and install them.

Strange that you're having trouble with Xenon Depot. Their products and customer service have always been good. Hopefully its just a fluke.

So I received a single bulb in the mail yesterday. Didn't know which one was the wrong color, but I assumed it was the whiter one that wasn't "4300k". Replaced that bulb and now it's almost a perfect match. My stupid butt zip-tied the main connector and hid the wiring too well, so I had to redo the entire driver side for the replacement. Anyway, the new bulb is slightly yellower, but it's the same color I remember when I first installed the other side's bulb so I'm sure it will break-in and match eventually.

So yeah, XenonDepot did mess up and send me a mismatched pair from the start but they corrected the problem so it's all good. Loving the stronger illumination over stock.
