I'm removing the existing system and putting on standard shocks. My question is, should I save the old system (minus the shocks)? Do people reuse the tubing and control absorber?

Once the shocks, seals, valves, lines start to leak they lose oil and the nitrogen gas that pressurizes the system. Once it leaks the whole system is basically a paper weight. You cant recharge the system to give it back the lost oil and nitrogen charge. Most people just remove the shocks and leave the lines and cross over and canister in place on the frame. They wont hurt anything taking the trip wherever you go, its actually a PITA to remove everything without cutting the lines so most people just let it take the ride and stay in place.

thank you, I'm going to have a local firm (LS) do the work. I'll have them leave the old in place and save a few $$.
