Bought my OR Premium that came with the shelf. Didn’t really matter to me if I had it or not, I just wanted the space in back. After the 2nd or 3rd time to the grocery store, I decided “what the hey, I’ve got it, let’s see how it does”. Oh my! MUCH easier getting stuff in and out. Saves having to lift across the 8” of bumper. If you pull it out all the way, you can get at things on the back of the tray from the sides. There is a little bit of space under it (1 or 2 inches) that I use to put a fairly flat tool kit, topo atlases that I don’t normally use for my daily driving, and a couple of tie-down straps for use with the handy D-ring anchors. Now I would definitely recommend it.
