They don't call it "Scamazon" for nothing. And seriously man, I can't believe you're still obsessing over this thing. I get it. You love your 4Runner. Just do regular services and everything will be alright. I promise.

You need the dealer to refill your washer fluid for you????
This thread is a joke, right?

Wait till the " safe Toyota dealership" mess up half of those things by either torquing it till the threads strip or not even bothering doing the other half of the things they are charging for.
This thread is indeed a joke now.
It's not a Bentley, it's a 15 year old tried and tested bread box.

You guys are so negative....what you want me to do ? If I go online and buy my own fluids and parts and take my 4runner to a mechanic shop for maintenance are they gonna let me use my own stuff ? Most of them don't.and i dont want them putting any cheap stuff in my 4runner so when it goes bad they got me coming back and forth for repairs while they make a fortune out of me.and I can't do it myself because I don't own a private garage.....help a guy out.if you know better then share your knowledge.

    What is the paranoia about?
Almost every independent garage will use parts and fluids that you bring and just charge for labor. Even the Toyota dealership will do it.
Everyone here has tried pointing you in the right direction, but you are harping the same tune.
Again, it is not a BENTLEY. It is a Toyota 4runner. Any mechanic worth his wrench can work on one. I am going to clock out of this thread now.

Grease Monkey. 10 minutes and you're out the door. They'll even top off the washer fluid.

FYI, the cup holders have inserts that come out. You might consider removing them for the super size bottle of lube that you carry. But for God's sake, keep at least one hand on the steering wheel at all times.

Dude. People have told you multiple times that you don’t need special Toyota fluids but you keep ignoring them. Why?

I'm not ignoring them.they are not recommending of any brands to use. And there are more than 50 brands of liquids and parts.but no one is talking from experience.it was only one guy who recommended OEM coolant and I bought for $27...it ain't made by Toyota but it's specially formulated for toyota SUVs so I got it and I'm happy.anyone care to share ?

Since everyone is looking here, which way do the crush washers on the differential fill ports face? Flat part toward the bolt? Or flat part toward the diff?

People won’t recommend you anything because it’s pointless. You were crying for independent shop recommendations then you ignored those as well. Honestly it’s hard to believe that you are from NYC, living in NYC with a mindset and attitude like this. Have fun with your toy and make sure you wait for the tailpipe to cool off before you put your wiener inside from behind.
    I’m out.

Changing all fluids on a new to you car is a good idea, you have no idea what kind of maintenance previous owner did. Early fluid changes are better than late fluid changes with better fluids.

If you want top of the line care and can't do it yourself, be prepared to pay for it. Taking it to the dealer would result in OEM fluids, but most mechanic would oblige if you ask they use OEM fluids in advance. No matter what you do, don't take your car to a quick oil change places.

If you decide to DIY, I recommend starting slowly and with easy stuff. Oil change. Tire rotation. Don't attempt coolant drain or brake flush as the first thing you do to a car, unless you already mechanically inclined in other areas.

If you can't or won't do car maintenance yourself, this is perfectly fine. I don't do my own plumbing either, even if I could learn it. I do, however, research enough to understand what a plumber telling me so I could make informed decisions on recommendations I am given.
