This may seem like a silly question - but why amber off road lighting? In my neck of the woods (rural VA) it seems to be a Toyota thing, as in all of the mildly built rigs I see locally sport amber fog lighting as well as spots and floods.

As a long time offroader I prefer more of the white light in front of me - but I'm generally creeping up fire roads and trails looking for wildlife or using it to light up a work area. I can see where amber would be better in heavy fog or snow (less light reflected back at the driver), but thought I'd ask to see if there was something more obvious that I'm missing.

I went with amber due to it having better visibility for fog.
