Who's had their 5th gen the longest?

We are having problems on our 2011 - replaced the bulb and still not working

 

Yeah it was a problem with the design on the 2010 to 2012 . I had some luck with replacing the bulb socket with a replacement from Toyota. I think it was around 20 bucks . Still acted up from time to time so I just carried the receipt for the new bulb and socket in the glove box . I figured if I ever got pulled over for it I could show I tried fixing it .
Worth a shot .

 

I swapped the socket/bulb from the passenger side brake light and it still does not work

The drivers side socket/bulb did function on the passenger side normally

You guys must have some serious ditches up there to have 2 ditch lights per side!

 

man the ditches really are epic in farm country (north beneath the mountains, south over river between me and the US border) might wanna carry a window breaker.
folks often hit deer, brother in law collided with a bear in his ford.
