Good morning all! Yup we got hammered pretty dang good...but ya know it also felt like a "usual N.E. winter" which we've haven't had for awhile. We got about 2 feet and that new snow thrower worked great! My honey was able to easily get out this AM and off to work she went.
Yea, memories of great band, terrific music LIVE nothing beats it IMHO! I was very fortunate to be in some opening bands back in the day and was a "hired gun" to fill in when a member of the headliner was "sick or something" and was not able to perform. Great to meet "hero musicians" (most of the time) and get to rub elbows with others! Still have ticket stub for a Led Zeppelin show at the LA Forum $3.25 !! Ha!
Ok Ol' Folks keep warm and be well-Cheers and ENJOY!

I am 66 and my wife is 60, but I don't consider myself an old fart. We stay active by traveling in our 4R, camping, playing pickle ball and I perform all the maintenance on our home with the exception of roofing and A/C. We also do all the lawn care and fence maintenance on our 15 acre homestead. I was fortunate to have a dad that taught me plumbing, electrical and general home maintenance. I also do all my own mechanic work and have done all the mods to my 4R. Age is but a number. But to be truthful, I do get tired more easily and my recovery takes longer. And I still weigh 165 lbs.

'Morning older dudes, you guys in the N.E. hogging all that snow, perfect. Had a little snow yesterday and the roads were not bad, but slick, almost missed my dentist appointment 'cause I didn't plan ahead, was running real close to being late and then the snow! Adapted, improvised, and overcome! And when I showed up, had to wait, they were running late, I'll be OK. How's everybody in the path of that last snow storm? Hope all is well. The weatherman is talking about 50F here towards the end of the week, a welcome thing. Like I said in a previous post, we usually get dumped on at least once in March, so we'll see, you guys have a great day, off to work for me!

GREETINGS AND GOOD AM everyone! yea, we are totally hogging the snow! In fact snowing again, looking at maybe 3" more and then hit 40's almost 50° this coming weekend...the big melt then maybe more snow the following Tuesday. Again, seems like a "typical N.E. winter." Honey is off to work, the dogs and I will be doing a tidy up today, I hope they have learned to use the vacuum! Have a great day y'all and stay safe! ENJOY

'Morning old farts! You guys in the N.E. are in the line of the blizzards quite often, aren't you? Back in the 60's+70's growing up we had a garage with a flat roof, angled to allow drainage, but flat. Well, a couple of snow storms we had back then with the drifting and all, made it possible for us to walk up the drifts onto the lower side of the garage, about 8ft. in height, well Dad saw me up on the roof and said "don't fool around with those power lines up on the roof, want to keep electricity to the garage." Whammo, your posted picture kind of reminded me of that, haven't seen snow like the "old days" since, anyhow, the weekend is almost here, I'd like to tell ya how sad that makes me, but.... you guys have a good day, awesome to wake up again this morning! See ya

Well...we really haven't had a lot of snow or a "real winter" for a couple years, so I guess Mother Nature is making up for lost time Toy4x4, Ha! I must say I'm sooooo glad I went ahead and bought that new snow thrower! It has already earned its keep! I'm still a "newbie" to New England living here only since 1990. Grew up at the beach in SoCal and spent the '70s in Colorado...so I can't say as a kid I played in snow much, mostly digging holes in sand and surfing...HA! A wee bit different. True locals say this year is more "normal" than the past few. I do appreciate the snow as the fruit trees like it and I know our well likes it too!
Ok, off for my annual physical, you all have a really fine day and be sure to ENJOY!

'Morning old dudes, time to rise & shine! I guess that depends on the time zone you're in. Whammo, you know sometimes we purchase stuff, like snow blowers and such? I'm gonna tell you.. Good call! In my my case I would say.. I'd rather be lucky than good! Well, the weekend's here, hope all is well with the "older set", so I guess add your favorite beverage, stir lightly, and enjoy. Weather is looking good around parts of Wis., another plus.

Right on Toy4x4! As it's often said, "sometimes it's better to be lucky than smart!" Ha! I did luck out. Nice snow melt yesterday, another sunny, but cold day here in So.N.E. Warm tomorrow so nice! Delivering a few guitars to the luthier today for resets and tune ups. A "thinning of the heard" will be on tap soon, giving up a few amps and equipment. They've been collecting dust and with the "fun $$" I could then buy some mod stuff for the T4R...
LOL fall clean up! Nice jwctaco! Have a very fine day y'all and be sure to ENJOY

Morning old people, still above ground so that's a plus. Drove to pick up the Grandkids at school yesterday. When we got in front of the school my wife and I notice a strange smell, didn't think nothing about it. Drove through stand "water". Last night our daughter called about 9pm and said the sewer main in front of school had broken yesterday. My wife and I said no wonder it was stinking in front of school. The school is closed today so the city can repair the break in front of the school. So today's job is to give the underside of the 2011 a nice cleaning. Y'all have a safe and blessed day.

Good morning, oldsters! Ah, heck, it's almost lunchtime now...

Anyway... it's a good day here in the sticks, with sunshine, blue sky, and a cardinal hanging out on the ledge of my window.

Got a (company-owned) CNC router up and running this week, and I've got aluminum and cutters on order. Gonna make some stuff! (It's always easier to learn a machine when you already have a project in mind, right?)

If things go according to plan, the T4R gets a [much-needed] bath this weekend.

Happy Fri-yay, everyone! Let's go have a great weekend.

Top.. 'the dirt line?' I would like permission to use that phrase, if I may. I know it's similar to 'above ground' and 'NOT taking a dirt nap', it's unique and caught my eye, so what do ya say? Well, old cats, not much to say other than winter is still here, supposedly trying to rear it's ugly head at us here(some snow reported in the forecast), it doesn't mean a thing, going on a little drive around with my wife, see if we can get the 4Runner dirty! We're best friends and that's what best friends do... get the 4Runner dirty! The warm temps we have been experiencing sure make the gravel roads crappy, well y'all have a great weekend. See ya.

Good morning y'all the sun is just peaking over the tree line now and looks to be a beauteous day ahead! Looking to get close to the 50° mark! We will enjoy it and maybe bathe the T4R today, need to do some work on honey's CX-5, she just clicked over 208K and I need to do a brake pad check. Snow back in the forecast for tomorrow so gonna catch as I can! Have a fine day and yup, stay above "the dirt line" as you can! ENJOY
