So I was holding a tape measure this morning and got a wild hair to do the 65/85 thing. To my surprise, it wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. I came in and did the math and sure enough, if I make 85, I still have 26% of my life left. And on the plus side I can now do whatever the F--- I want with the days I have left. So Old Farts rejoice! These really can be the best days.

Of course reading about Bob Weir today reminds one that we don't all make 85 years so let's make everyday count.

I thought I'd get further but I got sidetracked with a lot of trimming since I haven't done any for years.
I'll just have to keep after it.

We got 8 inches of fresh snow overnight, so today about noon I’m out on my tractor plowing snow off from my driveway. The road was not plowed yet, so 8 inches of snow on the road. I seen one, 4wd truck and two rav 4’s out, lol. Apparently they do good in snow. Nice small cars.

Recommendations have been bumped up (down?) to 45y/o. Overly cautious IMO but what are you gonna do?
Of course if you're old enough to be grumpy about getting one, then welcome aboard!

Overly cautious, well that depends...my honey was 49 when she was Dx w/Colon/rectal Ca...thought it was "just a pesky hemorrhoid," but NO! Been seeing more and more younger folks being Dx w/colon Ca. So good on any of you getting it done! Consider the prep a minor inconvenience then you get a little propofol holiday...give you and yours a little peace of mind.
You really know you're an ol fart when the doc sez: "okay well your next one...oh never mind you'll be over the hill and we don't routinely do them at that age!"
    :) Cheers y'all

There’s a somewhat eccentric guy nearby that has that one, not in camo, and a smaller one that at one time was attached to the roof of his truck. He sold eggs as the "chicken man". But now egg empire is gone, and he’s now the pigmy goat guy, lol. You do you

I have been called several or referred to as several things in my career, but eccentric just may fit. My SIL have some miniature goats, will that work? :hattip:

As Johnny Winter would sing, "I know it's kinda hard to tell, but I'm still alive and well!"
Yea, my mind still writes those checks my body can't cash, but I'm doing!
It's gonna hit 50 today, and then single to minus come Friday o_O We've got a gig Saturday night and it looks like the snow will hold off until late enough for everyone to get home!
    Enjoy you day everyone! Cheers

Funny! A guided elk hunting trip a while back I told a hunting guide in the mountains of Montana, "My 25 year old mind wants to tear up the side of that mountain... but my 58 year old body wants nothing to do with it"! Coming up on 65 now, and I'm sure that's not happening.

Good morning to all you old farts. have been following this thread for awhile now, and today being my 80th birthday I thought I would join in the fun. I am old. I am grumpy. I can remember all of the nostalia I have read here & more. I have a whole head full of semi-useless information. I am glad I can remember all that stuff. Hope you all have a good day.
