Sorry to hear this! It will be a challenge (like others here I'm on a short leash w/my C diagnosis), be kind to yourself, allow friends and family to help you as necessary-they want to be helpful to and for YOU. As already noted listen ask questions of your care team, if you feel you are not getting the care you need get that second opinion...I'm sure you know all this, but sometimes receiving a diagnosis of cancer we can lose focus. If I may be so bold, write any questions/concerns you have for your care team and take the list to your appointment(s). We often forget or lose focus in the exam room and remember later...gee I should have asked...
Ok, off my soap box. Just know good prayers and energy to you and I wish you the very best for great health in 2026!

I do not know your beliefs but in my times of trouble I lean on this verse:
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. John 14:27
Praying for you to have peace in your times of trouble.

We had a little ice here in west Jefferson NC this morning. Finally got the camper pulled up the hill and noticed another stage in my life has happened. I am on the upslope of the mountain but on the downslope to retirement. Life is good!

Beautiful sunny day, tho 17 degrees...that late week "warm up" I'll appreciate as I didn't snowplow New Year's Day. In face I never left the house...It was great! My daughter's family came over yesterday and took "old fart" G'dude out to lunch. You can see by the photo I'm back at the "kids seating area" :yes:backseat.jpg

Hope you all have a real fine day!

Thank you so much! This has been pretty overwhelming. I don’t have a lot of “help” around me so will be doing the best I can. You are right about writing things down, my head is still spinning. I wish you well for what you are going thru!

This is bad news. You'll find strength, it's only a temporary set back. My wife is a breast cancer survivor of 9 yrs., and I had prostate cancer a couple of years back, we understand your situation totally. When we were undergoing treatment, doctors and nurses alike said "the mind is a very powerful thing". Try to keep a positive outlook, and those prayers are coming at you 10 fold!

HA ha! Same here...it'll "warm the end of the week." Woke to a wee bit more snow this AM. Going to have to get a new snow thrower soon. My old Craftsman, of 36 years, is finally saying it wants to retire!

I didn't get called in to work today, so I will hopefully be finishing the garden pergola. Mid 50's here and no rain until Thursday. Have a great week OF!

We're going to get a "cool down" this week to 55/40 (maybe a couple 39s in there). Our place in the mountains is finally going to get cold. It's been 45/25 for awhile now, but this week it will get to 19/9. Hoping for snow.
