    Hello fellow Yota drivers!
I wanted to start by thanking all of you who have posted for many years as I have managed to solve a lot of my issues or curiosities through the forums. Im now trying to fix an issue and im a little stumped but I have some thoughts and would rather have a better idea of where to start before I scoop my eyes out with a spoon. I recently had some help replacing my driver's side axle with new boots (previously did the passenger side with no issue but did not have time this round to refurbished the original axle and put new boots so I purchased an after market one already assembled. The cap that butts to the differential was flat and not like the original that bumps out and sits very specifically (i called the yotashop and was confirmed the part should work h
Ahead of time). I drove a couple hours before hearing what sounded like a slow uneven washing machine "ca- thunk dunk, ca-thunk-dunk" and went away. I called the mobile mechanic who told me I should get an allignment because yes we did replace both the upper and lower ball joints at that time. Couple days later... same noise. Got out and looked several times and nothing looks obviously wrong or amiss. Today while heading home it was making a new noise for longer but has since also gone away. I did get a video of this newer noise but not of the loud (you can feel it) thunking noise. Any idea where i might want to focus? Could the auto locking hubs be assembled back wrong? Looking through my Toyota Bible at the diagram i can't tell if things right or not and can't seem to find anything online that shows a full disassembly of the auto locking hubs OR an image that shows everything. Ive had my truck for probably close to 10 years now and typically do my own repairs until this drivers side axle. Already spent too much time getting this dealt with and ready to cry as I've spent basically all the money I have to get help this most recent repair. Again- video does NOT show the initial louder thunking
