    Hey everyone,
I’m putting a 3” lift on my 1999 Toyota 4Runner Limited and was wanting some opinions on wheel and tire size. I don’t want the wheels/tires to stick out furtherthan the stock fenders or rub. I’m looking at getting the Method 305 wheels, but their smallest size wheel that will fit the tires I want is 17x8.5, which are wider and taller than the factory 16x7 wheels; will this be an issue for fitting? I was wanting to run Nitto Ridge Grapplers on them. What size do you recommend? I was thinking 32” as to add height, but not risk rubbing... Thoughts? Thank you for your help!

I have 285/75/16 on 8.5" wide wheels on my 98 with a 3" lift. They rub very minimally at full lock on uneven ground. Like pulling into a driveway with any kind of speed. I did have to trim part of the front valance.

Thank you so much for replying and offering some input! Is there a tire size that’s less wide, yet not oddly skinny that anyone would recommend? I’d like to avoid rubs in pretty much all situations if I can and am willing to sacrifice some tire height and width to accomplish it. Oh, and here’s a pic of the vehicle stock, I’ll definitely post a pic once the work is done.
