I have the paralysis of analysis on what wheels I want to go with. The peeling plastidip stocks from the previous owner will be sold. And yes per another post, the steel bumper is being replaced with OEM.

The Galactic Gray is a tough color for matching wheels - I originally liked the look of newer TRD 7 spoke aluminum, then considered all black, some XD wheels, and now maybe FJ wheels powdercoated cement gray. What to do…

I'm a purist and love a good deal. So after 21 years I replaced the Sport wheels on my 2004 with new TRD OR Trail Edition wheels like the ones in your second photo.
Got four of them for a give-away price but paid $100 for the 5th one.

I forgot to add the fact that I am cheap… hence the used selections. Those 6Shooters are great - don’t think I’ve ever seen any for sale. I like the idea of using newer FJ or 4R wheels that have a little less offset (30 down to 15), so I’ll get a little wider stance.

Here's another shot (with 1.25" Spidertrax spacers ) and you're right...i found some 2013 TE 4runner wheels in Seattle tears ago and then these FJ TE showed up on CL for $500...i had to do it...I don't buy new, I buy good deals if I need...at least, for accessories...

Someone else on here has a Galactic Gray 4th gen with the newer style TRD Sema/PRO/whatever wheels in gloss black. Looks killer.

You mentioned budget though so not sure if those would work.

I’ll probably go with whatever pops up that I like on my budget, there’s a lot to choose from. I may even strip the plastidip and run with what I have for awhile. I appreciate all the input!

Looks great, did you do a level kit? If so which one?

I have some new wheels and tires coming for my 2006 Sport, will post a picture on this thread when I get them on.
Was going to go with the FJ Wheels mentioned, but couldn't justify shelling out a pile more for the stupid center caps. Nothing used around where I am.

Paid $200 for the set. Love the look - just the right contrast with the silver paint (black is too much for me). Bonus: no worrying about trail rash.

Those FJ Six Shooters look AMAZING!
Keep your eye out for any deals locally. There are lots of take offs on here as well. Usually can be had rather affordably. I think the Spidertreax 1.25" spacers are also a very good option to enhance the look and stance, of any wheel.

That looks really good. I had them on a black 3rd gen with 255/75/17 BFG MT and it was a really nice setup. And you're right, they can usually be picked up locally for $150-250 depending on condition.
