What is best of carpet?

With my new 4R, I recently upgraded OEM floor mats to a set of quality liners (front, 2nd row, cargo). My question is what is the best way to get as much of previous sand/dirt out of carpets? I've seen massage guns, orbital sanders used to 'shake' up dirt, but what is the best way you have found?

Serous response: I would use a very strong vacuum, like a shop Vac. The Massage gun is a neat idea but a strong vacuum will pull the same stuff. Maye a hard bristle brush to loosen? I found brushing brings back some of the loft and loosens dirt best. The one that comes with shop vac attachments or maybe something more aggressive.

 

Thanks Rip, I use a Kirby to vac out the cars. I'll look into a brush too.

 

Nothing stronger or better than a Kirby! Good investment.
