Checked the BP51. Decent flex, plenty of ground clearance at 17 PSI. Had to use A-TRAC though. Could've avoided the A-TRAC with some momentum but I wanted to do things slow. Ride is very comfortable afford and I haven't played with adjustments on the BP51 yet. I found 1st gear 4Lo combo not slow enough for my taste. Toyota's braking feature is loud and annoying.

Yeah, it's not nearly as slow as Wrangler. I'd like it to be slower than it is. The braking in crawl control isn't too annoying to me as long as I remember to expect it.

Smart. Looks good too. Wish I had done this on my 08 9-7x, the rear bumper support is completely rotted now, and the hitch ass'y is not far behind. Hindsight.....

Look’s like I’ll be replacing the Front Driver Side Door Lock Actuator tomorrow; I’ve replaced front passenger side two times (dealership did 1st one when it was 2yrs old) … these things have gone up since I purchased last time … $321 OTD …
Purchased at my local O’Reilly’s …
Anyone else had to do this recently?
    I own a 2016 4RTP with 87993 miles.

A buddy of came by and waited for me to finish up doing some paint touch-up on some scrapes on the undercarriage. I was using a little brush and small can of rustoleum. He said “dude, that’s not the Sistine chapel or anything, hurry up!”

    He just doesn’t understand…

The only reason I’m posting this is to let you know…I understand…carry on…

@McSpazatron That's hilarious, you get me, dude!

Derek's underbody shop would run a lot faster if the owner didn't drink, smoke, and get side tracked singing to music.

Just completed everything behind rear axle ↓

Let there be light! I was going to buy the kit, but picked up the parts from "Jeff's" and save a few bucks. Switch operated for now, will install the pin switch if i feel it's necessary.

    Lots…
Nice! I unscrewed the rubber bump stop for the hood, drilled a hole in it, and put a pin switch inside of it. So when the hood pops open the light is on. ;)

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.

Well, just installed Sylvania SilverStar ULTRA bulbs (H11) set.
Wasn't up for the H9 mod based on all the comments. At least not for now with pending trip.
Ok, backing up, first I removed passenger side Hi-beam lamp and saw it was not the H11. Big whoops.
Reinstalled. Proceeded with R&R of lamps.
    Hm, now no DRL.
Plug in Xtool scanner (D7S) and full scan, no DTCs. Go to body module and operate all lamp functions and they all indicate on/off as manipulated, even the DRL function.
Remove negative post for 10 minutes, hook back up, crank it up, rescan, no DTCs found (cool right).
    Set DRL, no lights.
Reinspected passenger high bean connected, yes both high beams come on.

So maybe someone can tell Cpt. Obvious here what I fubar'd or over looked......Thanks in advance.
I'm dreading the drive to Houston Intercontinental.....and very late night return.

On edit boy do i feel dumb.
Got in to move vehicle to shop and air up tires as the scanner gave such good data.
Soon as i put it in R, wats dos lights??

Wow, ok never mind, operator ignorant...thanks folks.

ive got this one and really like it. I didn’t want something big as I have already a lot when I go camping so it’s great for me.

it’s on sale currently for $38!

Used to watch his channel on a regular basis.
Then one day he did a big oil test.
Frozen oil running down the chute.
He went full Kentucky derby announcer mode and NEVER went back to normal.
I even told him, hey brother take a breath pace your presentation accordingly it's ok.
Nope, ignored basic public speaking methodology and so i just ignore, or if it's a good topic fast forward to the end for the final results.

    From the owner’s manual:
“To make your vehicle more visible to other drivers during daytime driving, the daytime running lights turn on automatically when all of the following conditions are met. (The daytime running lights are not designed for use at night.)
    • The engine is running
    • The parking brake is released
    • The headlight switch is in the , (type A only), (type C
and D), or * (type B and D) position *: When the surroundings are bright”

Did you release the parking brake when checking the DRLs?

Heh...ah no...did not release parking brake, that time.
But when moving vehicle to shop to trim up tire pressures the DRL lit up...sigh....
Thanks for the attention to detail that i missed.
All good now, Well except for the Houston trip.....heh...

Picked up some combined polish/wax to touch up the dull spots where the side emblem adhesive was. After a quick hand buff the swirl marks are gone in that area too. Guess I'm doing the whole car now.

Still haven't found an easy way to clean the wheels though.

Brake dust really likes to stick. I use Chemical Guys Diablo Wheel Cleaner, first with a wheel brush and then with pointed, microfiber-covered sponge thing that gets in all the nooks and crannies. Compared to how I treated previous cars, it's fussy overkill, but the rest of the car looks so nice, it feels wrong for the wheels not be just as clean.

I'll give it a whirl; never even bought wheel cleaner before this thing but can confirm that Griot's and black-wheel specific stuff (Meguire's?) don't do much. My last car had bronze plastidip wheels that were nearly zero maintenance cause the brake dust kinda matched. I'm not fussy but the blue looks so damn nice and shiny that the dirty wheels (and dirt stuck between the black letters on the rear garnish) stands out terribly.

    Has anyone debadged the rear?

What negatives did you hear about the H9 conversion?

The vast majority I hear are positive.......including my own experience.
