Went on my 1st "road trip" - though it was really just an overnighter to eastern NC to photograph black bears. ~300 miles each way. On the way out, I went a route that was about 1/2 rural roads and then the last 1/2 was interstate/highway. Driving fairly relaxed and trying to kill a little time, averaged 21mpg. On the way back, tired and ready to get home, averaging 75mph for the entire 300 miles, averaged about 16.5mpg.

Was a successful trip, though. Had somewhere between 40-50 bear sightings in 1 day.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
Great pictures. A lot of people don't know there are a lot of bears in NC and some big ones too. A guy got one a few years ago where I hunt that was over 500lbs.

Thanks! And yes, they get absolutely huge out there in the coastal plains. Last time I looked, the record for NC was 892lbs, that's basically grizzly size lol. And there are so many of them too, I have literally seen 30+ bears in the same field at the same time before. Basically grazing like cows lol

Completed the last piece of the oem trim puzzle that I'm interested in as far as trim pieces go (I think). Patience, luck, and determination has found my 4Runner sporting all oem pro trim pieces for around the same cost as I could have bought aftermarket parts for

I added this carpet protector to the back of the back seats that someone a few pages ago had shared that they got. This will be great for the dogs and my own camping adventures.

They are comparable to floor mats for the cargo area. Way better than Canvasbacks.
The indent/cover for the D-rings on the seat backs will break off over time. I've had 'em for 9 months. A solid addition to your truck that really saves the carpet.

EDIT: The one posted is for a sliding tray. There are others available for a non sliding tray option. Check Amazon.

You were posting while I was editing my post.
The difference in price is the rear cargo mat and seat backs vs. just the seat backs. They are similar to a floor mat for the cargo area.

Wow! That is an incredibly high success rate of spotting bears. I have only seen one black bear in the wild. There was one in Washington, DC last week. Great photos!

Another part of the girlfriends bday present...PO had put some POS pods that failed and corroded all over the place. Ended up snapping one of the bolts trying to remove it and had to drill it out. Picked up some mini bars that actually throw light out the sides too which is great for backing up instead of having all of the light just behind the vehicle (I have 4 flush mounted pods in my truck bumper, and they put out a LOT of light, but only directly behind the truck). They are a bit more low profile as well and don't stick below the spare.

The second part of that is ordering some switches from AOB, since whatever the PO used don't stay pushed in the "on" position. I've read the comparison between AOB and CH4x4 or whatever the competitor is so I'm guessing these are the inferior of the 2 that are currently in the vehicle. So I'll yank whatever those are out and install the AOB's when I receive them

Not better for me than Canvasbacks.....I prefer have something softer for my husky when going on a long ride in the back. So the Canvasbacks work a lot better for me.

After the previous stock tweeter --> 3.5" dash speaker and head unit upgrades, I have since continued down the car audio rabbit-hole.

Upgraded the front driver/passenger 6x9's to REF-9630cx and added some sound dampening to the doors:

After installation, they did sound good but I could tell the head unit didn't have enough power for them.... So I installed an amp:

And just man. The 6x9's sound amazing.

The stock speakers in the rear and trunk have their days numbered...
