Changed out the fluids in both diffs and the transfer case today. Both times I've done the front diff now, the dreaded hex drain plug was removed with no drama. I'm kind of convinced the secret is giving the plug a few good whacks with a hammer before attempting removal. Still, I did go ahead and replace it with the Lexus outie this time.

 

which Lexus part number is that?

 

Got the Lexus front diff drain and fill plugs sitting in a bag waiting for the next time I change the fluids. I think they cost me $2 each in my last order of parts from Japan.

 

Damn, this just reminded me I really need to do change my rear diff fluid. Last time I did it was an emergency service in a Oreilly parking lot because my rear locker stopped working…

Had our 4runner for a little over a week and removed the 3rd row seats and made a new floor.

that wont stop them from drilling a hole in the bottomebof your tank and getting gas. If they want your gas, they’ll get it.

They can also pry off the shell of the cap and open it, they can drill the keyhole out and get it off, and they can also forcibly turn the cap until it snaps off

 

do you think you are able to install the receiver upside down to hide the AG logo? i was looking into buying that one.

The thing has taken a beating and is still holding up great. Works with soft shackles (or hard shackles if you’re feeling risky)

yes, it’s an 80%OffRoad rear bash bar.
This one was done by 80% in California. Special requested DOM with larger side hoops. The old HREW diy kit didn’t hold up to my abuse


Offers better clearance and some armor, while not adding a ton of weight.

Installed the Hamilton Conversion Kit and can confirm the Anytime front/rear camera system still works

 

Test fitted the TRD sunshade that arrived today. I’m disappointed with the fit. I thought I may have ordered the wrong one but no, correct part #.
