What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Installed an eBay knockoff TRD skid plate today. I could have sworn the ad didn’t show an oil filter door in the pics, but it came with one and I’m pleasantly surprised.

Then I went for a drive.

 

In stock size they can be had in XL. Mine are 285's in standard load SL.

 

Soooo the other day on my adventure, got myself in a bad spot, tight spot & backed into an embankment, causing this bumper damage .. searched on the interweb for dent repair, he came out yesterday. He did a very good job

Thursday night I finally put my Bilstein 5100s on with OME 2889 in the rear. The reason for the night work was so I could get it aligned the next day and then leave town for the weekend with the wife's RAV4. No internet or cell at the cabin so I couldn't post til now.

Fronts are set at the 3rd ring for an advertised 1.75 inch lift. On stock springs. Stock UCAs. The 2889s are reported to give 2-3 inches and likely to settle an inch. We shall see. In all I'm happy. Sore, but happy.

I'll get measurements later this week.

Another 500-mile visit-the-fam weekend.

 

lightly stretched oot the 4wdhi/lo/locker on long north-south road I know behind golf course. took maybe 30 seconds this go around for locker to stop going blinky blinky.

 

I feel very fortunate that it came out as good as it did especially at the house

 

I searched on the inner web for dent removal mobile came out to the house, used heating gun and some specialized tools to get it back in shape that takes a special skill to make it come clean also use a special plastic Bondo a lot of sanding a lot of prep work before he painted it. He color matched it off the information on the door that I sent to him and clear coated. It told me to let it sit for 48 hours before offloading again
$450was the cost

Yes. in my garage He did a very good job masking the 4R

 

I’m sorry I should’ve given you more information in the sense that go on the Internet and look up mobile dent Repair most of them will ask you to send pictures and they’ll send you a quote right over your text messages

most of these guys do really good work amazing work. I actually saw it on a YouTube and couldn’t believe how good of a job they do.

it really came out nice. I have to tell everybody should realize that it is not 100% perfect to do that one would need that new panel. There are a couple small imperfections that you can see if the sun is in the seventh house rising and had a certain angle, but you would really have to look for it and I’m very very pleased with it very fortunate that nothing else was damaged

I just noticed these at Walmart. Have they always sold Toyota filters? They didn’t have any for the 4Runner or Tacoma though.

 

I wonder if these are Chinese knock offs. I was just at Walmart to get Fram cabin filters and never saw any Toyota oil filters there.

 

Maybe. Did you find the right cabin filter? I usually can’t find them at this Walmart. The filter aisle is a disaster.
