I'm guessing you live in an area where unintended collisions with large four-footed animals can be a problem...

True. A couple of near misses and sadly hit one late last year with my other car. Found a good deal on this bumper and decided to get it. Just have to upgrade front suspension to handle extra weight.

The bumper looks great. Do you feel a difference in acceleration, braking or maneuverability?

Thanks. Yes I can feel the weight when turning or braking. Not bad tho. I’ll have to see how it feels when I upgrade front suspension. Currently have OME 887 upfront because I had an hidden winch before. Going to change them out for heavier OME 886 springs.

Only you know for sure on this but based on this photo (an after pic I imagine) the front looks plenty high enough.

You’re right, height is pretty good but it’ll settle after awhile and like trailspecial22 mentioned I can feel suspension struggling a little with added weight. 886 should hopefully fix that.

It was ok, kinda challenging in spots tho. Some cutting and here and there. Happy with end product tho.

That fire suppressor can doesn't look secure enough. It may become projectile in accident. Same goes for location, jack cover is just that a cover and takes little force to dislodge. Mine isn't much better but I've steel band and entire immovable panel holding it and flash lite needs more work, I know.

Oh heck yeah! You got an approximate weight on that? You get any sag or replace springs? How's the fit?

Oh and you got a winch in there and all. Very nice!

Some people say its too much but I really like the bars. Looks tough and mean. Mad max. And not a lot of people rock that so IMO its more unique. Very cool.

if you look closely, the Jack cover is screwed down. It’s not coming off no matter hiw hard I pull on it, but I’ll secure the body of the extinguisher better.

Thanks, appreciate it. Yeah it’s not everyone’s style, but I definitely like it.

Not sure on approximate weight. It’s gotta be close to 200 pounds though with the winch. Currently have OME887 suspension upfront. Going to replace with the heavier OME886. At least that’s what recommended.

Yeah I think its cool. I like how a lot of people do it in Australia with bumpers like yours and the big antenna or two mounted to it

How so? Are 3rd row 4runners a different interior size?

It's about how the 2nd row seats fold down with a 3rd row 4runner vs non 3rd row. It creates more space to lay down.

I changed the oil in my 4R #1 recently, but I need to take #2 out at some point to get it warmed up, it's been hybernating for close to six months now since I've been on the road a lot visiting vendors and doing contract renewals for my work. The irony is abound in that I've put on probably close to 10k miles in the last three months but close to zero miles on my personal rigs.

So my Dasaita liked to reset on me a lot which was frustrating but doable. Then it started to - I think - over heat if I drove for any period of time. Sometimes 30 minutes sometimes 2 hours and then it basically would stop working. So I got a Hamilton Motor Company HU.

Because this thing requires vent rerouting, getting all the wires in is like wrapping an impossible burrito. It's truly a marvelous sight to see it come together because you just don't think it's possible.

The interesting thing about this HU is the technical documentation is basically a video which say "the plugs only go one way." The manual is like someone just threw something together to say they had one and provides no value. There is a wiring diagram or at least that is what it's called but it doesn't have all the wires and doesn't have the wire coloring. It's really bizarre the lack of documentation.

Fit and finish is nice. Big screen. It's cool. So was the Dasaita though. So I've got some questions out to them about wiring because only my front speakers work and I don't feel like guessing and checking different variations. Maybe tomorrow.

The screen sits tilted back a little which matches the angle of the dash really well and aesthetically looks nice but I feel would be better more straight up and down so ambient light doesn't hit the screen and wash it out.

    Just nit picking...

    first pic is the Dasaita

That's where @djwantke hides the alcohol from his kids. Puts a little lock on it.
