What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Ok, so I messed up with 1 door, apparently I missed the latch cable and can't open it from the inside or outside.
Is there a way to access the cable to release the door to get it opened?

My 2 year anniversary with my 4R is March 30 and this is the first I'm hearing of this thing. What is it, and should I be lubing it? lol

 

I did that on my Dodge 2500 quadcab, I had to pull the inner door panel partially off from inside the cab in order to reach the cable and pull it manually. It sucked, but it worked. You’re probably gonna have to do something similar.

 

Printed a grab handle for my Prinsu roof rack, since Prinsu thinks they can charge $130. This one was about $2. I don't think my Bambu P2s has the buildplate volume to design it to fit both bolt holes but I might prototype it. Might even add a spot for Prinsu's light

Spring has sprung in Alabama. The yellow pollen is out in full force

 

Been quiet as of late. New home and renovations have taken over weekend time. Wife has a road trip coming up this weekend so tire rotation, oil change and new wiper blades.

Don't read this and get too excited guys in other news she did say having an awning when we go camping would be a good idea...but I told her in order to have an awning we "need" a full length roof rack

Well you don't "need" a full rack to mount an awning (I have one with the factory rails) but I get where you're coming from lol

finally finish wired new winch and installed 4 HF pod lights on winch bumper. I also took fresh hub to fender measurements so I can order a new suspension. I am currently way below factory ride height front and rear with all of the weight I have. I waited 3 years to be as close as possible to the final version before I even thought about struts/shocks and spring...the time has come, hooray!

 

Took advantage of the warm weather and extra daylight to change my oil, filled up the gas tank before the next price jump and went for a short joy ride.

 

Broke loose the heat shield above the muffler on the way to cincy. This is the second one now. Anf burnt my forearm on the muffler.

just want to share I am also running the Lasfit low beams and recently installed the high beams quantum Leap difference from my 2018 lights. They’re freaking amazing. also did the Lasfit turn signals the fronts are switchbacks amber/White also did the rears and the driving/fog lights with Lasfits
Used yellow film on the lenses .. I don’t have any pics of them all on, but I’ll take a few soon and post them up. I’m in Southern California. The weather is mild but I’ve driven in rain heavy rain snow a lot of desert camping so far so good.

If Toyota would use big fender washers on the heat shields they wouldn’t fall off so easily.

 

Mine is barely hanging on by s bolt, rattling on the muffler. I'll probably take it off today I think the bolts that hold it on are too rusty to fix it.
