Lol, it has so much flat shiny surface!
It works really great! The sound quality is 1000 time better than stock. Got pioneer tweets in the dash, pioneer in the back doors and hatch, and pioneer 6x9s going in the fronts tomorrow

    Today's project: new carpet.

When I bought my 2022 4Runner it was in great condition overall. The carpet was a little dingy and someone had gone wild with a carpet drill brush, really wearing the carpet thin in some places. I also discovered a sticky substance underneath the carpet. Maybe spilled soda? After removing the carpet, I discovered a Reese's Cup had somehow got under the carpet, and melted. It was a bizarre mess. Instead of being concentrated in one spot, it found its way into different areas. It made a mess under the clips that held hold the wiring loom in place beside the door. It's a wonder ants or rodents weren't attracted to it when it was fresh. After scrubbing and cleaning, installing the OEM carpet was a breeze. Definitely an OCD project, but after discovering the melted mess, I was glad I did it.

Do we have any parts number wizards or a connection to one? I'd like to replace these clip for the wiring harness but have had no luck tracking down the parts numbers. A few of them broke and still have Reece's residue I couldn't fully clean.

Wasted opportunity for noise reduction. It's a sad joke how thin the factory carpet is.

    No Idea.
Best bet is Toyota dealership parts section. They can pull up the exploded diagrams with each part number. From there go online and punch in that part number to find similiar at a better discount. Either that or just get some generic clips to reattach the wires into.

I added 5 hp of carbon fiber. It matches the ORP interior.

Also reach out to FITCAMX support and see if they have an updated firmware. I had a similar issue and they sent me an updated firmware. Wish there was an over the air way to do it, but I recall it was very straightforward. I updated sometime in April 2025 to version TY970K_4653_20240722

also they replied with the following info:

Hi, OK, if this issue occurs again next time, please check if there are any lost videos in the Locked files.
OK, please update the firmware and see if that fixes the issue.
Yes, it can support 256GB maximum, and SanDisk Extreme microSDXC is recommended. (You are able to find this model at your local e-commerce store)”

needless to say, I did ditch the FITCAMX sd card I got from them and went with the sandisk extreme 256gb. It’s been a while so I’ll check the status of my recording tomorrow.

    That's so strange.

I wonder if someone from the assembly plant accidentally dropped their snack.

    I love a good Reese's.

Did you take a bite to see if it was still good?

Contacted customer support. Hopefully I will get a response Monday. Will keep an eye after new firmware. Don't have confidence on this product. If fails again I will just buy a trusted Viofo/ Blackvue. (Already sold the previous blackvue I used.)

Saw few more posts on other forums when searched where FITCAMX having problems with re-recording (delete old files and save new files).

I just checked my camera and the recording has still been recent and is working… just curious, please let me know your current firmware version.

you can see this by going to Camera Settings in the FITCAMX app. I will hunt down the email and see if i still have the firmware link and instructions (hopefully it will work). Hopefully you hear back. I’m curious if there is a newer firmware than mine which is dated July 22, 2024.

the only change I did was the firmware and the as card brand and it appears to have been reliable since April 2025

I did have 285’s on them when I had my Pro lifted. But now my Pro is back to stock height and have stock size tire on 265/70/17. Wheels are 17x8.5 -10 offset. I prefer that wider wheel to give a better stance and better handling. My wheels are the FA 16’s. The blaze have bigger holes.

Removed the intake tube & resonators to inspect the DS injector wires. No issues. Sprayed all wiring looms with rodent prevention spray, then spruced up the engine bay a tad - just a good wipe down to remove most of the dust buildup.

Did my first ever oil change on my 4Runner myself. The previous two were done by the dealer as I wfh full time and was recovering from both left/right hand/wrist and elbow surgeries. Pic of the supplies while I was still optimistic -

    oil_change.jpg

I'm 55, and have never had an issue removing an oil filler cap until today. I had to wrap a shop wrag around it, then use channel locks to remove it. Made me start to wonder what I would find underneath. The drain plug wasn't bad, but man, the oil filter housing? I ended up having to use an 18" breaker bar with a half inch to 3/8" adapter and wedge my feet against my 800lb functional trainer for traction. I mean seriously, WTF? Just glad to get it done and everything put back together with the proper torque. No more dealer work for me unless my KDSS needs something under warranty.

I got this one when I purchased last Nov/Dec (2025)
    Screenshot_20260308_135733.jpg

I also revert to factory default with 2K resolution. Anyways 4K doesn't seem to have good detail. (From what I searched Fitcam doesnt have real 4K resolution. Why the reason things like license plates not clear)
