Those look fine. Why change them $50K miles early?

Met up with a friend for dinner the other night. My 2022 TRD OR with his 2000 Limited with 345k miles. It's in great shape considering the mileage.

very good info and feedback, I din know other people copied me with EZ Flares (JK!).
    https://www.4runners.com/threads/the-original-ez-flares-universal-fender-flares.36281/
@water I agree 3M adhesive is surprisingly sufficient. And rock chips are moderately deflected.

I actually sanded the inner fenders first, added a few black stainless screws through the flares for extra hold, then painted the underside fender black (cuz my runners white).

@BoiseG so not even the 3M has failed yet, including all types of car washes, driving through forests and shrubs, doing donuts in mud wth rocks.
Also agree the flare was different material and flexibility than I was expecting.

pro tip: two boxes/lengths to complete four fenders.

I would be concerned with the difference too. However, I don't have a clue what the cause might be.

The three on the right are perfect, the left side looks a little leaner but not enough you'd really have to do anything. On a customer's car I'd tell him he's fine unless he really wants to put more into it. If it worries you I'd, clean the MAF sensor and throttle body, run a bottle of Chevron injector cleaner whenever you have a lot of interstate coming up and replace the o2 sensors. But again not really needed unless you feel like it.

Picked up the tires yesterday, 285/70s with no lift makes the front end looked stuffed! The cutting I did made for tons of clearance without the wheel spacers, and I’m guessing that there’s plenty of room when the spacers get installed. It’s gonna be next week before I can install anything else. Really looking forward to getting some lift on the car, the way Toyota sells the SR5 is way too low. They all should come from the factory 1 to 1 1/2” higher in front

Replaced the HVAC blower motor at 126k miles. Purchased one from Amazon that was DOA so I called up the local dealership for an OEM part.

They originally quoted me $225 plus tax, but told me if I bought online I would save 25%. I was able to purchase online for 33% and still pick up from the same dealership today. Weird that they wouldn't just give me the same price directly from the dealer, but oh well.

I ended up replacing the motor in the parking lot of the dealership and drove home happy with the motor working properly!

    According to this chart:
    upload_2026-2-6_13-0-43.jpg

I was 10K late on the plugs... :notsure:
It's a semi annoying job but I got a coupon to do it for $60 with the OEM Toyota plugs, I figured why not.

Thanks; yeah I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something amiss that would bite me in the ass later. I do Techron every 10K miles and I shot some cleaner on the MAF and throttle body at 50K. I didn't even think of the O2 sensor, it'd be Bank 1 w/ the 5 / 3 / 1 cylinders then. But there's no CEL... I'll look at the fuel trims with a scangauge later.

I've heard that OEM injectors (on all makes and models) often times are not well balanced, flow rate wise. Maybe that's just snake oil from people trying to sell you their cleaning and balancing services. ;)

Replaced the wiper blades, front and rear!

I was gonna take a before and after picture of all my hard work. You know, to show off and impress all you hooligans. But then I realized that you cannot tell what I did. Fun Fact: It takes longer to get them out of the packaging then it did to install them. Seriously. Amazon taped up this box and added so much packing material you would have thought diamond cut crystal was inside.

It's been 2 1/12yrs since I bought my truck and didn't think I needed wipers. They didn't skip or smear, just the occasional missed spot. When I took them off they looked like shit. I'm shocked they still worked.

Guessing gasket, but looks good to me. Thinking it may get some RTV when it goes back together. Not thrilled about having to pull the Maggie's belt assembly to get the back thermostat bolt.

Clean the pulleys on the assembly while you are at it. Hope you get it back online with no issues. Weird why it leaked at that spot.

I have been working on rooftop storage solutions for a bit. I tried just one case and a Rotopax 2 gallon can but it just never clicked. Picked up a second Apache case from Harbor Freight for less than $100 and ended up with two cases and two Rotopax. After trying several different layouts, I settled on this one.
