Can you adjust the seat with the filler in place or do you have to remove it? I might try 3D printing one. There’s a couple free models available.

I didn’t have any issues with them when I moved the seats around afterwards. These are a rubbery/foam material but they have slits that the seatbelt “clicker” goes through to help them stay in place.

    ooo slightly different than these:

or the canvas back solution: for those not familiar -- the etsy link provided by @MWinkTRD is simply a drop shipper (nothing wrong with that) ... you can also find the item on Ama zon (without branding)
    https://www.amazon.com/Zoiydals-No-Drop-Organizer-Universal-Between/dp/B0FPLY7DT1/
    or slightly different
    https://www.amazon.com/Mandark-Car-Seat-Gap-Filler/dp/B0F2T394R8/

or even close to the source:
    https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256810331972850.html

I did slap this different option in the "seat gap" section of the knowledge sharing document for quick reference (or not) for the next person.

curious question .. is it time to change the default behavior and suggest people provide the link in the same post where they post the picture?

That is exactly how I have justified buying a lot of crap off of Amazon or wherever... "Hey, it was FREE shipping." I saved $6.99; and because I saved that much I was more than willing to spend $100/200/500 dollars. The psychology of it is kind of scary when you think about it.

Netflix even made a documentary about it called "Buy Now"

Those seat gap fillers intrigue me, although I would probably only use one on the driver's side. It's mostly just me in the 4R 85% of the time, and the passenger side gap works well to store my folded up windshield sun screen. But for $6, why not?

I like those too. My front tires rub on my mud flaps and I just live with it because if I remove them, I get paint chips around the rear fender. Those might flare out enough to fix that issue. @djwantke

Thanks for the link! They have an install video on their website and it's not what I was expecting. How do they hold up in a car wash, and do they prevent rock chips on your paint on the rear panel?

The adhesive is quite strong. I had to cut mine back a bit due to 35" tires rubbing and I used a razor and still could not get it completely off (this is under the fender, so not a problem). As for chips, etc. That depends on how far your tires stick out. If you are on stock offset and wheel size, then I would be surprised to see too much dirt/chips. However, the fender does curve back into the center at the lowest point in the back and this lip is going to follow that contour, where the mud flap sticks out far more.

Just did spark plugs on my 4Runner at 70K... I know it's kind of early but I had a coupon for Toyota parts and I figured I would throw plugs in there too...

I'm a little concerned by the difference in the deposits on there, though:
    20260205_131816.jpg

Individually they all seem fine but if you look the top most right hand side one vs the middle left hand side, there's a big difference in color...
Wondering if maybe it's inconsistent fueling and/or I need to get the injectors cleaned.
