I am looking at a Fog light that matches the temp of my H9 low beam. 6000k is too white. Ideally 3500k is what I need. But I will try running the 3000k to see if it's not too yellow.

Have to keep in mind the oem batt has been through some pretty harsh conditions…and a few winch tugs too.

Edit to add - So I’d say for a +5 yo batt I’m satisfied with its lifespan.

    Nice!
Once you see how it looks with the swirls gone (from car washes) and how deep the paint looks after a good ceramic coating, you will cringe when you think of going thru another car wash !

Changed the air and cabin filter. I drive mostly with my HVAC on Fresh Air mode so the cabin filter tends to get dirty sooner. Engine air filter looked okay.

whats the consensus for leaving that foam pre-filter on vs taking it off? I always remove mine as i felt it may restrict airflow.

I leave it be. It hasn't exploded the engine yet(215k miles) so I think it's fine.
But I am sure someone will soon dive in and say they prefer using something made from New Zealand sheep fur with 99.999999% efficiency on weekdays and 101% efficiency on weekends.

I figure it's there by design from engineers more knowledgeable than me, so I leave it. In fact, I won't buy a filter that was made without it, and there are non-Toyota brands out there that don't include it. But that's just my opinion based on nothing more than feels.

When you go to change the air filter ever notice debris has collected at the bottom of the air box? That’s what that prefilters
Job is for…so the main filters pleats don’t get loaded up. As for airflow restriction it won’t come into play (back pressure) unless air is flowing through near Mach speeds

Honestly, I never had swirls or any damage in the 20 months I’ve had it and used the same car wash a couple times a week. I just want this ceramic to last as long as possible since it wasn’t a cheap process. He also gave me some maintenance directions including what type wash to use that won’t negatively impact the durability of the ceramic.
If anybody cares, this is what I’m going to use.

Does the ceramic coating help with sun exposure? My driveway faces south and I live in high mountain desert, I've lived in my house for 16 years with my black Tundra parked in the driveway and the sun has taken its toll on the hood. Honestly I haven't been that great about protecting the paint, I kinda gave up on it, and the paint on the hood truly looks like a junkyard truck. Maybe if I take precautions now, my 4Runner won't look the same in 10 years.
