They're just a 168 bulb. You can buy them at any auto parts or big box store.

Had my battery crap out today. An Everstart Platinum AGM. 4 year warranty and died at 2 years, 10 months. Walmart replaced it without issue but still kind of disappointing. We had a few posts of discussion in this thread back in November about the AGM charging requirements and the charging levels of the 4Runner. I have a booster on the box but maybe it's not enough? We'll see how this replacement holds up. I may switch back to flooded next time.

On a positive note, I got to use my cheapy Chinese jumper pack for the first time. Worked like a charm. Not sure where I got it now, but this link is the product.

That Gooloo is phenomenal. It has never let me down and infact performs as good if not better than my Noco at half the price.

Amazon and Ebay have the same stuff and it will be easier to return than to China. If you look, it's all made by the same Chinese company. You want free shipping and returns.

Pan of warm lightly soapy water with rag/rinsed regularly to wipe down and clean interior plastics and panels. Pan of warm clean water to wipe down soap w/rag rinsed regularly. Towel dry that. Lexol 1 and 2 on the leather w/quality towels when you start sliding out of the seat. I believe soapy water is recommended in the owners manual and I learned to use the Lexol at my dealership. French fry grease and petroleum distillate in sprays can damage your plastic and erase paint over time.

The 1250 was a thing of beauty. The new 1300 on the other hand is straight out of the Pontiac Aztec School of Design....
And I say that as a proud new owner o_O

Agreed. Though I have only used it once, it worked perfectly. It isn't the biggest, baddest player out there or have extra bells and whistles, but at the price point I was able to equip both our cars for the price of one.

FJ Cruiser shifter added. I F'd up the cut a bit in the center portion (cut at an angle and had to shorten it more) but am really happy with it.

I really like that. Awesome you found a matching gray one. I’m assuming the threads are identical and you just cut it down to match the OEM shift height?

Yep, threads are exactly the same. You just need to trim a bit because the bottom of the FJ shifter will hit ever so slightly on the trim bezel when moving it out of park. It really didn't seem to be an issue, but I wanted the shifter to be slightly shorter anyway. I got the OEM shifter from ebay for $45 shipped, so not bad at all!

I want to remove these side badges off my whip.

I've used a heat gun and fishing line before but I'm hoping to find a better way to clean it up?

I think you should stick with heat gun and fishing line, then remove the adhesive with goo-gone, lastly hit it with green works cleaner or soap n water

Thanks brother, appreciated. So wd40 is safe on the paint that I’ve given zero fcks about (if you know me) lol?
Interesting, so you stuck on new badges instead of Chinese overlays? I bought two sets of Chinesium overlays (in case one friggn letter falls off) on the front and rear emblems and am still runnin the first set.

Side note (coined by @scottiezilla): my fancy ‘16 trail comes with no gaudy pillar badges

Yes, it was safe to use. A little on micro fiber and circular motions. The clear coat was intact. If it feels greasy, just clean it afterwards with a dab of car shampoo.
And yes, real metal badges. Don't like overlays.

WD40 works, but it isn't magic. Use a cotton rag or micro fiber towel. Do not use paper towels. Some elbow grease will be needed.

I installed LEDs in the interior, license plate lights and backups over a year ago.
Today I finally installed the LED puddle lights. I had put this off because of lack of time and finally was going through some stuff and found the LEDs.
I had done this on my '17 ORP way back when and I was a bit worried about doing this upgrade on the '24 since I have MTM.
No problem on the install. It was easier than I expected.

Back at discount tire. This is the second time they messed up a plug and patch. How hard can this be.
