Well, after a summer-long project to make my 4Runner into the vehicle I’ve been meaning it to be, I was able to take it out and test it on a nine day trip from Georgia to Michigan, with the end destination being an easy campsite at PJ Hoffman off the coast of Lake Michigan.

on the drive to Michigan I hit North Cumberland OHV area in Tennessee. Great 4wd mountain trail with an awesome lookout, right off i75. Like, RIGHT off it. Found it on accident, the trailhead is in the parking lot of a gas station I stopped at.
we hit Holly Oaks ORV park the next day. Very fun, lots of technical trails with mud, rock steps and other obstacles of varying degrees of difficulty. Unfortunately our time was cut short as we came across an injured dirt bike rider who we performed first aid on and were able to CASEVAC him.
We camped for a week at PJ Hoffman, and we were able to hit Silver Lake Dunes (after an unexpected tire change). Very fun ORV park right on the beach, lots of fun, definitely would recommend.
Anyways. Just got back. Probably could have put this in the trip report forum, but here’s some pics.

Thank you! it is a Samout, Amazon brand. 8’x10’, pretty cheap and it held up to a windy rainy week so no complaints so far.

Discount tire messed my puncture patch. They literally missed the hole and added the plug and patch next to the hole. Morons.
So I went to a different DT and ended up getting a new tire since you cannot add a plug close to another plug.
I also had a puncture in the rear tire so got that patched up as well.
Then I had to chase them to get the road force number below 20. The manager was like anything below 40 is what they aim for.
What a waste of time and energy.

Mine came in today, and yup!
They are metal, have some sort of black coating on them, a few holes drilled and some tactical bends in them!
    Just what I ordered!

IMG_1548.jpg All right, it’s not what I have done but what I want to do. Bought used and the previous owner put the front license plate holder on crooked. Took it off and the holes are way off, re drilled and have it level, would like to completely remove it and need to cover holes. Any suggestions/ ideas, thanks

It's not difficult at all but it's easy to break tabs if you're not really careful.

There’s some YouTube vids that show how it’s done. Done mine a few times never broke any tabs.
    It’s really an easy task.

I did the air injection pump filter mod, took a whopping 10 minutes. Thanx to the OP who brought it up.

A bunch of 'I think I broke that! Oh! It was just a tab! Moments, and a few WTFs.
But it only takes a few minutes each

Added a quick connect on the outside to trickle charge the battery because I was tired of popping the hood every time.

I guess my 4R is now a plug in hybrid? :D

I did. I measured like 100x and still had to enlarge a couple of holes. I used a metal “nibbler” to cut the main hole after using the foam gasket as a guide. Fit is as good as to be expected with the gasket. And I used super adhesive tape for the a-pillar support.

Worst part? Cutting the hole? NO… removing that fing fender liner!

(Breathers we’re one of my first mods in 2020!)

I use those types of BT chargers on both of my TJ's.
And I bought 5 for my neighbor so she can keep both of her mowers and 3 Vette's happy over the winter months.
And yes, she did reimburse me the $$.
Almost forgot one more for my Polaris Quad.
