Damn you rebuilt it and blew it again? Any idea why it happened? I'll be interested in following this

Don't know what made it blow. It over heated for a few minutes and blew. I had it running perfectly but it just would not level out temp wise. Don't know what caused it so thats why i'm going to basically strip everything except the block and get new coolant lines and everything. I used MLS gaskets and got new long tube headers so the weird routing doesn't add unnecessary heat on Cylinder 6. Again don't know what blew it cause it was cylinder 5. Gonna do some digging and get this thing running like new. It's got 147k miles and is a beautiful dark red with gold emblems and its a limited super pretty. Picked it up for $1200 so no real loss if it doesn't end up working. Will eventually swap a new engine in and go full pre runner with it in a few years. Got some plans but i need it running first. I'm only 18 so i got some time. One pic is it right now, other pic is a fun drawing I did, hopefully will look something like that in a few years.

Beautiful truck. I have a 95 Limited as well.

Good luck with the work. Im sure it will turn out ok if you do it right. Mine has 85k miles and I plan to do a ton of work on it once the cold weather breaks in 2026.

Sometimes you have to just appreciate your truck and not stress about the endless work you need to do to keep it as perfect as you would like. Today was wash and wax, and a photoshoot to remind myself that I really think old cars and trucks are beautiful. Shes definitely not perfect but aged well for 30 years!

Dont mind the weird AI blur on the plates..

Going to give the 2nd gen a vacuum today. Winter's been rough on it, and its finally warm today! And one day it'll be warm enough to actually give it a wash. No point yet though, because as soon as I leave my driveway, it'll look just like it did before I gave it a wash!
