    But Fritz, the dopamine hit when you slide that perfectly sized box into the holder is priceless!

    On a serious, on-topic note;

    There are many areas "wrong" throughout the interior, so many stupid curves, dimples, creases, voids, swoops... it's so damned frustrating when I need to haul anything big.

    The hood scoop is another symptom of this illness, as are the rear vortex and the body mounts... needless styling that serves no purpose, but is actually detrimental in some way.

    I'm big on style, but not style for style's sake. These bricks get very little positive effect from the curves everywhere, so they may just as well have given us hyper-utilitarian Swiss Army boxes, better than an xB, Matrix or Fit. We got cubbies that only air fits in properly, instead.

    Agreed, I don't understand the need for the dispenser anyway.

    My 5th gen's doors give off a rather hollow sound when closing them. Like metal slapping flat. It seems cheap in a way that not even cheap cars are. I've never had a door be so unsubstantial sounding before. I swear even my old TJ Wrangler's doors were more substantial sounding than these doors. Probably my dad's old Chevette, too.

    when you get back in and the vehicle is tilted/off camber, it will chime at you, AND you can’t put the seatbelt on because it locks, because the computer thinks you’re gonna flip! I’m thinking I need to turn it off too

    The doors in my 4th gen sounded the same when I closed them. And, shockingly, they never bent in half or anything. Maybe Toyota was more concerned with the overall design than the sound they make when you close them. :notsure:

    There's always dynamat if it really gets to you.

    This must be a new thing. I park in some interesting positions, mostly for grins, and haven't had that problem.

    I can't stand new car technology that beeps and chimes at you for every little thing. Boyfriend's Outback does this and it annoys me to no end. Shut up and let me drive!:mad:

    maybe its part of TSS. Whats ironic is that I kind would like to put my seatbelt on in those situations, but the system prevents it. Too smart for its own good!

    Hearing the window glass and hardware rattle when closing doors on a new Toyota vehicle was disappointing too.

    Yeah, I have an '07 Volvo and those doors sound like a bank vault closing in comparison.

    Thirty years ago when the first Lexus debuted, it was rumored that the Lexus engineers had closely studied the door latch mechanism of Mercedes sedans in order to mimic the sound, which was, according to focus group testing, associated with high quality by consumers.

    I found that spot perfect for my cell phone in the case with belt clip. About half the time I forget & leave it there until needing to make a call.
