What’s your lighting setup looking like?

Curious to know about the different lighting setups everyone is rocking.

I am contemplating the following setup:
1) 20” white light bar behind the lower grill,
2) amber fog lights to replace OEM fog lights

something similar to the attached

I figure this will be enough for my use case which is mainly desert and beach drives. My rig is not for doing any serious overlanding, just a weekend warrior type thing.

Appreciate any inputs on your lighting rigs

 

I recently upgraded to the led fog lights, it really was a great improvement.
I don't do the serious off road stuff, but long streaches with lots of wildlife!

 

White or Amber LEDs?
Is that the only lighting mod you’ve done? If so, would you say that it’s enough?

 

Nothing so far but the plan is to add a bar, maybe two, behind the grill and Minwin side mirror lights. I have Morimoto XB Evo headlights and OEM LED fogs for now. Yellow fogs on all the time looks lame.

 

I have some cheap Traveller ditch lights and Diode Dynamics Amber Pro fogs. Highly recommend the Amber Pros if you do any kind of night driving when it's rainy or foggy. I also have a 25" combo light bar in my TSO Incog bumper. Slimline XS6 I believe.

 

Ditto on the Diode Dynamics Amber pro fogs. The beam that is thrown is a game changer for spotting roadside critters. I figured that since I was replacing the factory foggers, I may as well get fang lights, too. The fang lights are sequential amber turn signals, too.

 

For functional fog lights, I'd recommend Diode Dynamics SS3 in selective yellow. They're available with amber back lighting. I have the Sports, and they're a massive upgrade over stock.

I also have a 20" Rigid SR light bar in my bumper, and Rigid D-SS ditch lights on Caliraised low profile mounts.

Edit: picture added. This is just the factory headlights and the ditch lights. They make it like daytime for about 50' around the front of the vehicle.

 

You can never have too many lights!! 360-degree illumination on my rig!

Ive wanted to put lights on the roof rack as well as rock lights but I just haven't wheeled much at night. Im always making dinner and then chilling around a fire. And ive realized I want lights just because im out of projects and thats not a good enough reason.

 

Damn bro, I bet you can see into the FUTURE with all those lights.

 

Whatever you do get a Switch Pro and get all the lights going into that system else you will have all kinds of issues with batteries and wires running all over.
I went baja all throughout on my tank.
• 40” Baja design light bar for roof rack
• 20” S8 Baja design driving combo (winch location)
• Squadron sport baja design ditch lights
• S2 Chase lights by baja designs (mounted on roof)

Above the factory switches. Wiring it up was very easy.

 

@surfingbuddhist how did you get power to the lights on the roof rack? I'd like some side lights but I've not come up with a creative solution.

 

No pictures at night (Got to change that) All of mine run through the SP9100 (mounted in the small center console cubby) and looks very similar to surfingbuddist when they are on:

I ran all my roof light cabling down the “rain channel” on each side of my windshield. You can also buy cable hiders specifically for that purpose.

Also split my fogs, white on bottom for better color visibility and yellow up top to cut through fog.

 

Going with diodes yellow fogs, white spots for ditch(maybe), and a single combo in hitch for reverse lighting. Keeping it simple since this isnt the main offroad vehicle.
