I have always liked Westcott designs. But with my new 4R I went with their modular roof rack and ext Molle panels. The first thing was not having paper instructions in the box. The videos on YouTube are helpful but leave a lot to figure out yourself. E.g. I bought the visor to put 6-6” led pods on it. There is nothing showing that I’ve found helpful. To their credit they are quick to answer the phone and assist. (Just give me ikea style paperwork to reference). Well recently I bought a water can from tacmolle to attach to the Molle panels as well as recovery boards. Well WD’s version has very thin slits for their panels. Different from the universal look. Everything I have bought for the panels I have had to return. Be wary as much as it pisses me off I might ask to return it all. I called them to tell them this yesterday and never heard back. ( also the panels come with a bottle opener attached and it is angled so that a bottle can’t get opened on it. Vent over.

I have had similar experiences with Wescott. Their modular roof rack was a nightmare to install without instructions.

upon installing the Wescott modular roof rack I have experienced severe vibrations and they can’t provide me with a solution. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

if you are considering a roof rack for your 4 Runner STAY FAR AWAY FROM WESTCOTT PRODUCTS!

I have the low profile WC, no issues in over 10K on and offroad. Run quite a few of their products and found them to be top notch.

You should be able to loosen everything up and then be able to adjust it that it doesn't touch and then retighten everything. Are you sure none of the bars are bent and causing the whole thing to warp? I seen this with other brands, the front bar was bent and threw everything off all around the body.

its not just WC, i just had to have my Cali Raised rock sliders powder coated. Their coating is horrible. Not even a year after purchase, they started to rust. I went to Toyota Jamboree and they were there. He gave me a good deal and i also bought their catalytic converter covers. Thankfully i read reviews before installing them. The edges are not ground down and are razor sharp. Literally had to wear leather gloves to do the install. But everyone posting is correct. COME ON whatever company, you got to do better. I paid good money for those.

I bought the Wescott modular rack and agree wholeheartedly with you! They don’t provide any instructions and the videos only address about 30% of the full install.

I also experienced problems with my WESTCOTT roof rack vibrating violently and the have provided ZERO solutions
