But can I fit a 285 spare in the factory location?

KIDDING!!!! That looks absolutely insane! I’d love to build out a 4runner into one of these. Gonna need a second one though, because Im not sure how it would do as a 50mile daily driver lol

Can you make the 1st picture larger?

I'm not even sure what I'm looking at there...
Looks like something off a Jeep.

What are the shocks (4?) attached too? I think I need like flow chart to understand how that works.

    What does that run?

Yes, the shocks are connected to a rocker that's connected to the rear housing

    Drobs,
Those are the rocker links, so basically that is what connects the axle to the rocker. The rocker is what the shocks mount to.

@Wicked-creations you post pics like somebody who is teasing our curiosity…

Ok ok, you post like somebody who is actually busy with doing and making real things and aint got time for silly pictures lol.

When you take a breather from the shop, I would be much obliged to be able to see more pics all the way around. I love seeing design/fab work like this.

Beautiful craftsmanship! How is the articulation? If you back it up a ramp will you get the full range of travel on both sides?

Impressive. But can the rear driveshaft accommodate that much articulation?

I'm guessing the cantilever set-up on the 4Runners and FJ's doesn't provide enough articulation to warrant driveshaft modification, but @Wicked-creations can answer that better than I.

When it comes to race trucks, I'm sure they extend the slip yokes to accommodate some big travel numbers.

Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of a cantilever set up versus traditional long travel?

Im no expert, but I would think the cantilever setup would offer packaging and mechanical advantages that LT cant give. Im sure it all depends on the intended purpose though. Like, this is probably not intended for slow rock crawling

The purpose for a cantilever set-up on our trucks is to extend the travel of the rear end without having to drill massive holes into the cab to clear longer shocks. Wicked Creations is getting 15" of travel out of this set-up for our vehicles. I don't believe 15" of travel in the rear is so much that it requires driveshaft mods, but Wicked Creations knows better than me. Hopefully they will comment on this.

To @ElectroBoy's question, when travel numbers get higher with a long travel set-up (cantilever or a standard build), I believe they use extended slip yokes to have the long travel and the driveshaft play nice together.

    Did I answer your question?

Our kit does not require any driveshaft modifications. The purpose of the cantilever is to get a longer travel and adjustability without having to cut into your cargo area.
