@Dendavis100 I would definitely look into a locking gas cap. If it was a random act, this would probably prevent it. If someone specifically had it in for you, it would at least slow them down.

He hasn't been here since Friday. Seems weird to join a forum, ask a question, and just disappear.

reminds me of a secretary we had in our office. kept snacks in her desk drawer and someone was pilfering them. she supposedly dusted the candy with a fair amount of powdered laxative to teach them a lesson. Not sure if true or she was just talking smack...I left before I got to hear how it all came out.

I did ask myself a question while gassing up tonight on my way home, why the heck doesn’t my 4Runner just have lock and release like every other manufacturer has done in the past 25 years?!?

Thats part of the beauty of the 4runner! Around here we can get antique plates after 25 years. With the runner basically unchanged in 11 years now, I got a new rig that's almost half way to being a collector:hattip:

I don't imagine I would ever need to clean out my fuel system, but I watched that video. What I took away from it is, other than how to actually clean a fuel tank, line, rail, and injectors is - that, my friends, is how to make a YouTube video. Clear, concise, no wobbly camera, actual instructions, to the point, without a lot of BS at the beginning of the video to promote himself, his website, or anything like that. This guy, Chris Fix, should hold classes on teaching vidiots how NOT to make YouTube videos. I was so impressed, I watched another of his videos on how to remove spray paint from that same car. This guy knows his stuff, and knows how to make videos that are worth watching that show how to do what he is talking about.

So the “sugar in the gas tank fouling the entire engine” is kind of an urban myth. Sugar does not dissolve in gasoline. What it does is clog the fuel filter, kind of like dirt or sand would. Still not good. Thanks for that great video.

Well, let's see. How many "instructional" videos are too dark, too light, can't see the part for the arm in the way, volume is too low 'cause they're 15 feet away from the camera, the camera is out of focus, aimed wrong, narrator goes on and on about some side issue that has nothing to do with the subject of the video, wants likes, wants subscriptions, gives a ten minute rant about why they wanted to make the video, etc. etc.
