Use turn signal as BSM

I am going to replace the OEM door mirror glass on my 2024 4R Sport with the ones sold @ CT (Mirror Glass Replacement For Toyota 4Runner). I Do not have turn signals on mine, but I do have BSM light on the mirror. These replacements DO NOT have BSM lights but are wired for a turn signal. I was thinking that I might be able to wire the BSM to the signal light on the mirror so that it flashes. Has anyone done this on their 4R?

 

How do expect to wire it up, if the new mirrors don't have the installed components needed to make it happen?

The BSM on the mirror is just a light triggered by the sensors located on the rear of the 4R. I was thinking that I just need to connect the existing BSM cables to the signal cable ...

 

LOL, when a car passes you it will look like you are left turning into them.

 

That's a good point. You don't want somebody passing you to do an unnecessary emergency lane change because they think you're changing lanes without seeing them.

I got them, but did Red's premium mirror conversion. I love them, the viewing angles are so much better. Always liked having turn signals in the mirrors

 

Doing some research I found this DIY. I am going to go this route for installing a BSM light inside. The problem I am having is locating the LED lights the author refers to in his writeup. Not @ Amazon any more. Any leads? I want to use the round ones he used.
