Has anyone added an additional USB charging port? Our USB is used by the wireless AA adapter.

I use a cigarette lighter adapter. You keep the versatility of still having the 12v power port if you need it, plus you have the option of USB-A and USB-C

I have two of these in my 4Runner. I don't use 'em, they're just sitting in my center console, un-used. If you want 'em, I'll give 'em to you. I'll even Fed Ex them to you!

For sure hardwire the dash cam. That's one widget you dang sure don't want to get jiggled loose and disconnected.

Adding a ton of USB ports is a lot cheaper than getting a new wife.

Can get that Dongar adapter that taps into the auto-dimming mirror and free up the socket.

Just need a screwdriver and an auto-dimming mirror - which I am assuming(?) was standard on the 2020 SR5 since it's on my 2021 base SR5.

That's funny I had the same problem with my wife. I installed dual fast charging type c and type A. Then another fast charging type c and a for me. Then fast charging for everybody in the back I install type c

Haha you must be the poster child for distracted driving!

Edit- on second thought, with all your passengers busied with their devices you must have a very serene driving experience.

I don't like a bunch of adapters like you.
I believe in one cable wherever you sit.

Well to each his own. With some people it’s the chrome allergy. With others it’s an LED fixation. And evidently there are some with a USB port preference. Good on ya, mate!

As said on another post with same question I prefer cigarette lighter flush type chargers. I use Anker brand ones since 2019. Looks like the one I bought no more available.

    They look like this -
    Screenshot_20260315_125946.jpg

I also have this one. But be careful they are not very strong. I pushed the usb A cable wrong side and the back broke sending the charging ports all the way in. Had to remove the dash piece and connect the cable. Now I don't touch the cable. If I remove and plug again the ports will go all the way in since the back plastic cover is broken.

    Screenshot_20260315_125806.jpg

So IMO, cigarette lighter chargers are much better option.

The flush ones are cool. The cover still closes.

Kind of an old thread - but I stumbled in here. I also like the flush fit chargers and was planning on getting one. I happened to be in the check out line of Ace Hardware and saw this MonkeyZ USB and USB-C charger that plugs into the 12V outlet. Wife and I were leaving on a road trip the next day and I thought it would be great for charging phones, wireless speaker, etc... - so grabbed it. Not flush fit, but doesn't stick out too far. Our stock 4Runners don't have a voltage gauge - so I like that it has a voltage display on it. With the engine running it displays the voltage the alternator is putting out. With the engine off, in accessary mode, it displays the battery voltage. The picture on the box (below) makes it look like the digital display is bluish green - but on mine the digital display is white ( or very, very light blue).
