Toyota needs to get their shit together. Stop worrying about stupid gimmicks and adding 100’s of TRD logos and just build a reliable vehicle again. At this point their reliability seems worse than American made manufacturers.

Don’t buy the first couple of years of a new model for likes, thumbs up and subscribes.

Exactly..!!! I wish they stop the BS and put back the 5.7V8 in Tundra until they can build a reliable engine.

Also keep the 4L v6 in 2025 4Runner. Land cruiser 300 till date have the 4L v6 option and I really wish they do the same for 6th gen 4Runner.

True but the Tundra is in its 3rd year and still having issues. How long do we need to wait?

I agree but can that even be trusted now? Seems like they lost all quality control.

24s are having the same problems. They just aren’t included in the recall yet.

The 5.7L suffers from cam tower oil leaks and at higher miles head gasket leaks. See latest Car Care Nut video on LC200.

The 4L on its own hasn't been emissions compliant in North America for a decade, relying on the flaky exhaust manifold air injection system as a crutch. There's probably another regulatory threshold coming up that makes the 4L completely unusable. Same reason that killed all the small diesels in competitor midsize models.

^You're better off with a JL Wrangler, on its 7th year of production with massive aftermarket support. Though depending on state, certain powertrain configs aren't stocked on dealer lots due to CAFE constraints and must be special ordered.

Nah.. considered the 4xe.. tons of reported issues.
I really want the ineos. Toyota shtting their bed, lowering the industry avg quality, makes the other non typical options easier to rationalize

^Why were you looking at the 4xe? I trust the JL's basic 3.6L a lot more than the Ineos' BMW powertrain.

From what I remember there were also cam failures early on with the 5.7. There is also the well know 3.slow V6 headgasket issues.

Cool. I’ll take that POS Toyota off your hands for $12K and save you the trouble of having to bring it to the scrap yard.

Exclusivity is a bad thing unless you pick your vehicle like jewelry.

Their bigger problem is that they just announced that they plan to discontinue a bunch of models because most are money-losers.
