Im trying to find the correct sized center cap for my TRD wheels. I tried the PT280-34221-F2 (which is now PT998-34221-2F). that center cap is listed a being 84 mm, and its too big for my wheels. Anyone know of a 5th gen 17 inch wheel center cap that is smaller than 84 mm? I dont want to keep ordering things I cant use.

    Thanks.

Those wheels look too shiny to be factory TRD wheels .

Are those the SEMA wheels or something else?

I’m thinking something else……… maybe aftermarket!

My first thought also- those look too shiny to be the OEM wheels. Unless you have a ceramic coating on them?

    I concur.

Here’s a picture of OEM TRD Pro rims.

That's not the same wheel. That version of OEM wheel is more matte than the OEM version pictured in the OP's first post, assuming the OP's are actually OEM.

Come to think of it, they did have a gloss version later? If so, then my post would be irrelevant if the gloss version is a different size.

The wheels could be just about anything. They weere purchased in October of 2023 by the previous owner of the 4R. he got them at a local tire chain, Town Fair Tire, and they were listed as:

    "TRD 4 RUNNER-REMAN"
    size "17x8"

The 17 x 8 part doesnt even make much sense to me as I cant find a Toyota OEM rim for the 4runner that was that size. According to an employee at Town Fair Tire, the rims were OEM Toyotas that were resurfaced. He may be wrong. I just dont know.

The tire size on my rims currently as "265/65R17T" Toyo Highlander H/T II

The 84 mm center cap is just too big. it will not fit. Looking at photos posted in the thread linked by @siblue , I can see the center cap is recessed. The 84 mms are way to big for this. The tabs are bending and they are not going in. Im hoping there are center caps that are less than 84 mm that I can try.

I think the after market wheels that are copies of the OEM wheel had a different offset. Seems I remember seeing pics on the forum here- and you could choose from a variety of center caps.

I have these part numbers written down for the OEM wheels:

Bronze Center Caps PT280-35221-5F (I think these are the ones with TOYOTA written in bronze/gold)

    Center cap with silver "TOYOTA"
    PT998-35221-3S

The 8” is a dead giveaway that they’re not OEM .

I think OP will find the caps easily if we can ID those aftermarket wheels. I know I saw pics of them here on the forum.

I measured the TRD OEM center caps, listed as 84 mm. They are indeed.

From these 2 pics, you can see (hopefully) that the 84 mm cap is too big. I think I need a cap around 75 mm. I cant find OEMs of that size.

    @Toyoter

These are most likely the wheels you have. They seem to be the only TRD PRO replicas that have a molded concentric circle around the lugs. All others I've seen are smooth formed from spoke to hub center. Try reaching out to Voxx for support. There is no sense in trying any OEM cap on a 100% obvious non OEM wheel.

    No. Not probably. OBVIOUSLY aftermarket.

    This is the OEM:
    https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/toyota~4run~trd~pro~wheel~f~ptr56-89210-f2.html

If you think OPs pic looks like OEM, perhaps get glasses.

Also, 2020+ PRO wheels are black. The 2023 Anniversary wheels are the bronze versions of those black wheels. Not vice-versa. Jeezus Effin Christophe! You even point this out in your own words.
