Try SIMPLE GREEN. Spray on wet wheels and tires, let set for ~5 minutes then use a small sponge to get into all those crevices, also use a large hand held scrub brush then rinse off.

Those TRD wheels are tough to clean.

When I’m done I wipe off all those nooks and crannies.

Professional detailer. Drop it off, done in 20 min. Yeah, wish detailers Offered this service. lol

I do it with my regular washing and some kind of wheel cleaner, havet found the perfect one yet. But so far all seem to work with a course and soft brush and a little elbow grease.

I’ve found this works really good.. let it sit on there for a few minutes, you’ll noticed the liquid coming off is purple. They clean the matte black really well!

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 35 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 35yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
Bottle brush, soap and water. Simple Green when I have it.

Adam’s wheel and tire cleaner. Pressure wash the wheels/tire, spray. Use wheel brush for wheels, and tire brush for tires. Rinse off
do one wheel/tire at a time

I've been after this since I got my 4 Runner. On another thread it was said that they used a ceramic coating on the rims. You have to get them clean prior to applying this but once you go through the process with the coating it helps keep them clean a lot easier. I' m slowly considering this as winter fades, debating if i should just do the face of the rim or take the tire off the 4 Runner and get the barrel as well. I've been using Koch-chemie products and have been pretty happy with them. Just need to get them super clean so I'm considering clay barring the rims.

Dark Fury - you can get it at O'reillys by the gallon - $29.00. Dilutes 4:1 so it lasts a long time and really works. If they have it in stock, its behind the counter, if not they will order it and it will be in the next day. Dont buy it on Amazon - last i checked it was $53

It does and when you look how you can dilute it, it goes a long way. If you dilute it 10:1 it’s a great big remover too

I try to do ceramic coating once a year. I pull the tires clean them up with any old wheel cleaner, decon for metal, wash with soap and water then apply. Makes cleaning much easier throughout the year. Left over car wash soap and water in a second bucket (i try not to cross contaminate) a micro fiber and some good finger action, gets it done.
