Anyone know where I can find the lower bracket or carrier, not sure what it's called for the crossbar on a TRD Pro roof rack? Closest thing I found was this pack of them with a P/N of 402001 but nothing comes up.

You have any use from the TRD Pro roof rack? Appreciate if you could share what you use it for. Looking for ideas like any brackets for traction board mounts, gas cans, etc.. I only see pics but no one has links to buy any kind of brackets or any other. I don't have enough tools to buy raw materials from hardware store and create my own brackets. TIA.

Until I find any use with it I absolutely hate having this rack. Wind noise is bad and hate it more with the exhaust sound.

i did a upper rail delete on the rack..
as far as usage: I've done a couple trips to so. cal and strapped down luggage and wrapped with a cargo net..as well trips to snow strapping down sleds/boards..
I wish the TRD Pro rack had hardware to fit and to mount brackets/low profile cargo cases..
4 cross bars are plenty but I wanted another bar.. I was thinking about adding a light bar on the extra cross bar still giving me 4 to use for cargo..

Yeah I'm looking for just this piece. I just picked up the Pro rack and it's missing this piece. I wouldn't mind even buying another crossbar but even that's hard to find.

I’ve seen these Yakima mounts recommended as fitting on the Pro rack.
    https://yakima.com/products/mightymount-23h-set-of-4
I think you can mount maxtrax and rotopax using those.

The Yahkima 23h is what I use. I mount my off brand traction boards and a Plano case when I go camping. I will see if I can get time to mount them and take a picture this weekend. I cannot get in the garage with the case on, so I don’t leave them on. Contrary to what people say, the rack works fine, unless you are planning to build an overland rig with a roof top tent, which would have better suited to and orp anyway, since you would need to beef up the suspension anyway.

I have seen people mount the rootpax mounts as well as the tube mounts for tools and such off of the old fj racks. Purefj has a bunch of things like that.

Thank you very much gentlemen for the tip. I'm very interested to see how I can use this to mount my traction boards and may be hi-lift jack. I have a feeling I need to buy more accessories to mount the traction board to this clip kinda thing? Really appreciate the info.

I assume he’s using the Maxtrax mounts connected to the Yakima ones.

I found a solution for my missing lower bracket issue. The crossbars for an FJ are exactly the same for the TRD Pro rack. So I just bought a crossbar and it fits perfect. Done and happy. Not sure why the dealer couldn't tell me that..lol.

Be aware! The FJ uses 2 different length crossbars. One is identical to ours, the other is 3.5 inches longer. Sometimes, in a sellers description they identify an FJ bar as 'short' - sometimes.

The crossbar part number for the Pro is PT278-89190-CB(complete unit). They can be had for around $60.00 each plus $15.00 shipping 'each' & tax. fwiw ;)

Yep thanks I should've clarified, I did get the shorter one which fits perfect. I just needed the bracket primarily but good catch!

    Wasn't' poking you:hattip:Only sharing info.

Trivia: From the extensive research I've done it appears - JAC Products - manufacturers the Pro crossbars, not sure about the rack itself?

Just wanted to add to this thread in case anyone else finds it useful. So I added the FJ crossbar that I bought (to the right in the pic) to my Pro rack and noticed it's actually flat which I think makes it a bit more useful without the curvature. Now I just need to find 3 more!

    according to gOOgle..

The rack itself can handle a safe driving load capacity of 300lbs. In addition, the static load capacity easily holds up to 600lbs. That is great if you choose to have a rooftop tent.

    :benchpress: lol..
