Where is everyone getting their TRD Pro rims for the 4Runner? The Dealership? And how much are they running? I cant decide if I want to get TRD Pro rims or powder coat my Trail rims glossy black.

I'd jump on those ones on Ebay. There was a huge national backorder on them not too long ago and there was some supply and demand price gouging going on...

I got mine shipped to me from Florida (to Virginia) off eBay for $725 a few months ago. If you wait, supply will go up and price will go down, I think someone projected more to be available soon.

Don't beat me up on this, but aftermarket wheels cheapen the look of the vehicle in my opinion. I put some nice Fuel wheels on my Tacoma. They looked great but I felt they cheapened the look of my truck. Again, just my opinion.

These are the wheels I'm talking about...

    downloadfile-13.jpg

Also, unlike the actual TRD Pro wheels they accomadate 285's and up. (Yes I know you can fit 285's on 7" wheels like the OEM TRD Pro wheels, it's just not optimal.)

They look good because of the TRD center caps and they look just like TRD wheels. Sometime people run these with no center cap and I don[think it looks good and as far as aftermarket, I am referring to straight aftermarket (non TRD look-a-likes). With respect to 285s, if you are gonna be 4-wheelin, I get it, but if you are 99% pavement princess, I don't get it. Especially if you have to cut away some of your fender, wheel well...these vehicles cost too much to do that stuff to them. Again, just my opinion. It's all good. To each their own, whatever they wish to do is cool.

Would you happen to know if I put 275's on it if there will be any tire rub with these FN 8"? I don't plan on lifting my Trail anytime soon as I'm pretty novice off road for the cost of lifting it

They should, but can't 100% confirm. Hit up FN. They've got great customer service.

I ordered mine on EBay from a Toyota Dealer. The dealer was recommended to me from another member on Tacoma World I think. I paid $725 delivered.

MICHAEL'S 4RUNNER #2.jpg Yes, 275's will rub on the front of the wheel liners and against the mud flaps with no lift or even a mild lift. I have a 1.75" leveling lift on mine and I rubbed with my 265/70R17" on my FN wheels (FX Pro). You'll need to move the wheel liner forward about a 1-1/2" and remove the mud flaps. I also had to take my Dremel tool and cut off about 1" of the bottom corner of the bumper. Now I don't rub even at full lock offroading.

Just ordered mine on ebay for $760 shipped. They should be arriving next week. My TE is stock and I have TG G2's in stock size. I'm hoping with the offset difference from the trail rim that I will have no rubbing issues? I thought I had read somewhere that people said they were rubbing with the TRD Pro rims. I would hate to have to start modding my fender liner etc.

They'll fit no issues. If they're having rubbing issues something else is going on. The wheel and tire set up you described is a stock fitment.

That is what I was hoping but I understand that at port they do a mod to the fenders for the Pro's. Combined with the lift obviously the PRO should have no issues. I was expecting about the same for my TE, but reading others folks post had me questioning it. I do think most of those folks are putting 275s on though which may be the cause with the increased size.

I ordered my TRD Pro rims using this link over on the Tacoma Forum.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...atte-gray-wheels-726-00-shipped-for-4.490364/

You must put in an offer of "726.00" in the Best Offer Section and in the Message to Seller Section put TACOMAWORLD for the deal. This include shipping so a good deal in my opinion especially since these rims were hard to find for awhile. The rims arrived within a week. You can now even order single rims if you dig down into the thread a bit and find the new code.

My only issue is rubbing when making a hard turn AND braking at the same time. Did not occur before rims were installed. I have a TE 2016 with KDSS, Bilsteins 5100's all around, 2.5" lift in the front & 1.5" lift with spacers in the back. Also using Light Racing UCA's. Tires are BFG KO2 275/70R17. Having the shop look into the rubbing today. I don't want to remove the mud flaps if possible.

    (edit: adding a pic)

Damn that's a bummer. I have the same truck and was planning on going with 285s with bilsteins front and back and toytech coils. Will have to rethink that option now.

The advice I have received from the guys who installed my Bilsteins and another 4wd shop is that "most guys take the mud flaps off." I do not want to do that unless I really have to. I found a thread where I guy simply cut out the piece of the mud flap that was rubbing: So that's what I did and it helped a lot but I think it still rubs under certain more severe circumstances. Th shop that did the lift recommended not changing the front springs and then after told me with stiffer coils in the front I would not have the issue. Good luck!

FYI (to everyone) the TW/ ebay discount offer no longer works. The vendor was "losing too miuch money" on shipping (see last page of that thread)... which I guess I can see. $726 shipped for 4 is a good deal.

I used trdparts4u.net / Toyota of Dallas. Shipped they were $854.82. Not the best deal but not the worst. They are a t4r.org forum supporter though.

Just passing this along; I bought my TRD pro wheels from a dealer in MA for $665 shipped. The manager does the discount through the Tacoma enthusiast forum. You message him and ask for the 25% discount on any TRD parts. I was able to also get a pro grill for $453 I think. I may ask him for the TRD airbox later on.

Steve Richard is the man you seek for the 25% discount on all TRD parts

I'd like to order some TRD Pro Wheels as well as the grille. Would you mind pm'ing me more specific details such as Tacoma Forum name and username of your contact on that forum that can provide the 25% discount? Thx in advance.

All the info you need is above. He will respond to a message on Facebook. You have to be a member on the Tacoma enthusiast page.

Although he might be a member here I don't know if he is.
