Has anyone here fit a 5th gen TRD grille onto your 4th gen? I’ve seen a couple random ones with the 5th gen grille on the internets and like it a lot more than the regular aftermarket TRD grille. I bought the aftermarket grille lower piece and letters from Yota expedition to see if I can figure it out. If not I’ll just send it back.

Hi esamos. Welcome to the Forum.
Check out his site - Trail Runner Customs, https://www.trailrunnercustoms.com/products/p/toyota-4runner-trd-pro-grille
Andrew has TRD Grills already adapted for all years and models for 4th-gen 4Runners. If you contact him, he might share his knowledge of adapting the grill to your truck, or perhaps you can return yours and buy his modified version. He also has an installation video on the site, and currently has them marked down. I am about to order one myself for my 2007 SR5. Good luck.

Thanks and yeah I’m just looking for something a little different than those which are everywhere. Even the paint matched ones leave a little to be desired I think. I’m mostly not a fan of how harsh the back grill is against my white 4Runner. Any other color I would probably go for it. I might reach out to him anyway and see if he has any info. Thanks again.

Agree regarding white on white. My SR5 is chrome, which I think looks better than white, but still dated. You're right about the stark difference for black on white. Gets down to personal preference. I am contemplating the black vs chrome without the amber TRD lights installed for a more streamlined/different look vs a total TRD wanna be.......... The Satashi grill thread linked in my sig may be helpful.

    Here’s how it looks now.
