I was underneath my 2025 4Runner TRD Pro the other day to familiarize myself with everything. Typically, the sealed transmissions have a fill plug up high, and then a 14mm drain plug and a 5mm Allen plug for setting the fluid level on the drain pan. When looking at my transmission pan, there is only one plug, the 5mm Allen plug that appears just like the one to set the fluid level. My question is: where is the drain plug?!?!? How do I do a drain and fill?

Get a air powerd drill, a tap, and a drain plug! Sorry I'm not much help, someone else should be along soon.

Can you post pictures of the underside of the transmission? Is there nothing in the owners manual?

The drain and check are put in the same hole.

Did a Nissan Kicks that was the same deal. Pull drain plug, then unscrew the tube inside to drain.

Screw tube and plug back in, treat it as the check bolt.

It's a 2025, not 2005. DIY maintenance instructions in the owner's manual have been replaced with 140+ warnings about death and serious injury.
