Too poor to buy anything now
I stopped by the Toyota Stealership to look at the LC's. After a lengthy test drive I was hooked. Premium package. I got an unbelievable trade for the 4R.

Should have taken a pic, I was parked a few spots away from one at lunch. The LC doesn't look bad at all, congrats on the new purchase.

    Cool
You traded in a 2024 TRD Pro with how many miles?.
If you don't mind how much to balance the trade.
    Just curious.
The V6 4TR are hot cakes right now with waiting list locally

I'm curious, in what ways is the LC better than your previous Pro? Besides better on fuel and tech lol.

congrats, actually like that hood deflector. It's small tight to the hood and doesn't look obnoxious.

It will be interesting to see how much the dealer lists the 4Runner for sale. The demand for V6 5th gens in my area is absolutely bonkers, Carmax and Carvana are both offering 5k over my 23's original new sticker price.

Buddy of mine has an early 2023, and Carmax and Carvana are both offering him more than he paid too. He is tempted to ditch it just to make money off it. I cant see how they could do that, a bank is only going to loan 80% of the purchase price of a used vehicle, so how are they going to get people in these used vehicles that are undoubtedly priced higher than a new one? Seems nuts.

I checked local listings and it's crazy, for a comparable trim 2025 to my 23, the price is still higher on the 25 by about 5-7k.

For example I paid about 46.5k for one of my 23 ORP. Carmax offers me 51k. So dealer will probably offer 50k on trade in. The dealer listings for 23-24 ORPs are around 53-55k if it's under 30k miles or so. By contrast A new 25 ORP in my area is 58.8k or more now. So even the absurdly high used prices are still lower than the new units.

What that means is people will do all sorts of things to get into the used ones, from what I have been told by people working as salespeople around me, it may be more down payment, maybe trade in more than one vehicle, some even use anther loan for a higher down payment.

So much for my hope of softer 5th gen prices for a desert build. LOL.

https://forum.ih8mud.com/ is the big one I'm aware of.

I'd personally stick with here and TacomaWorld, though. Plenty of traffic and general know-how compared to a startup site. There will be even more overlap in the three vehicles than before, too.

Not OP but to me the interior of the LC feels more of a progression of the 5th Gen 4Runner interior than the 6th gen does.

I could tell instantly the 6th gen 4Runner was smaller, LC not so much. I even compared rear seat room in the LC to my 5th gen 4R and at my seating position it seemed the 2nd row of the LC had more legroom.

    Congratulations!

This got me to check with Carvana to see what they would offer to buy my paid for 2024 Limited with 3500 miles now. They offered $52.2k cash to buy. But, plus $4333 more if I were interested in a trade, or about $56.5k, but I am not wanting to trade because I would lose my Arizona taxes and 3 year registration.

Their cash offer is exactly what I paid for it in December (with dealer fees but no tax or registration) from a Toyota dealership in North Dakota with the remainder of the 36 month factory warranty and a transferable CPO Gold 7 year warranty and only 1031 miles on the odometer when I got it. Interesting, but it is not for sale, no way. As I said, not interested.

Again, congratulations on your new LC! Sorry for my highjack.

    Congratulations to OP.

Man I wish Mrs give me permission to buy a low miles newer 5th gen 4runner Limited and keep it when my kid is ready to have drive her own vehicle. I'm worried that I won't be able to find such 4runners after couple of years.
