I have a barely steep driveway that I back into (pull out uphill). Put the truck in drive, minor roll back, start accelerating and traction control blinks and makes noise. Did this about 3 times. Why? Most definitely didn’t spin tires

Not a mechanic, just my $0.02
    It is the minor rollback.
I believe it is kicking in the hill hold function.
I experienced this once when I rolled back a bit.
It is my wife's daily so I have few hours behind the wheel. Grr!

I changed some lights, tires and tinted windows...mind blowing huh
it thinks its sliding, mine does it on steep hills in town, and sometimes when im going from reverse to drive and not coming to a complete stop.

Cool, thanks. I figured it was normal. Not use to this smaller engine after coming from a 5.7L tundra lol

I'll have to keep an eye out for the TC light. I'm usually more concerned about not rolling back into the house to pay attention to the light as I get roll back all the time when I park backwards in my steep driveway. Have noticed a couple times a weird noise if I don't hit the gas peddle quick enough and didn't even think of the traction control since my foot wasn't on the break to feel it going crazy.

Are you still moving when you shift gears? I get a similar response at a coffee shop with steep parking if I’m rolling when I go from R to D.
