TPMS computer module should be in the passenger kick panel (by right foot.

the antenna/receiver module is under the headliner behind the 2nd row of seats.

    hope this helps

No idea but ironically I just had my first TPMS replaced due to a hard failure that was intermittent. OEM replacements aren’t cheap but I’ve read that aftermarket units don’t play well?

Not only that but the aftermarket ones don't last as long battery wise.

Maybe it was changed for 2019, my 2021 is by the passenger right foot area, as well as my 21 Tundra.... here is some info about disabling TPMS in this thread for older gens: https://www.4runners.com/threads/disabling-your-tpms-sensors.4497/

Just curious those who disable TPMS. You don't worry if you got a puncture ruin the wheel or worse face a dangerous situation on highway? I bet you won't notice until you have no air in tire and it's too late?

I decided the usefullness of TPMS could be improved to warn me of an air leak before the trigger of the factory light.
My first driving my runner at speed was in Southern Utah. Big truck (18 wheelers), RV's, travel trailers, etc have a speed posted at 85 mph.

I was happy to have my Scanguage 2 reporting my tire pressue when I was driving 90 mph. Tire failure could be serious. A soft tire would hopefully be noticed before a flat.

I have aftermarket ones in my summer tire set up for 4 years now and no issues. Knock on wood. I change for winter set up with the OEM, and then for summer with the aftermarket. Also The summer has 4 aftermarket and spare is OEM. System recognizes the mix with no issues.

my 2018 has the old style that only send a warning when your pressure on any tire goes lower than a pre-determined psi [what that psi is i have no idea] to me without being able to see each tires psi in live time is useless. When I just changed my tires the rep at Costco said 3 of the 4 units were not responding and that they cost $40 per unit . in the old days, everyone just paid attention the maintenance of tires Oil etc.. etc... TPMS light is what we used to call an idiot light.if your doing your due diligence like you should be doing there not needed.

    Have you tried scanguage?
Here's mine. Just plug and play to my 2019 which just have the warning light. Now I can see the numbers on all 5 tires.

If one can't feel a tire low on air, they should probably not be driving.

Would a 2019 TRD ORP have TPMS? Scrolling through the menus on the dash… nothing for tire pressure comes up. Or are the sensors there and they just give a single light on the dash?

Yes, on models prior to 2020? all we got was the single TPMS annunciator light. Later models have the individual tire pressure display. That’s my chief complaint.

On the 2018-2019 runners, the tire pressure warning ECU is located adjacent to the driver side junction box…recently picked up a 2018 TPMS ECU from a scrapper and installed it in our 2019 runner.

Where in southern Utah is the posted speed 85? I live in Utah and have never seen a posted speed above 80.
