    I had no idea what a Toyota Century was until a guy I know who lives in Hong Kong told me about them in about 2017; I waited more than five years for the 25-year loophole to take affect, and after waiting about six years, I finally spotted a 2nd Gen (G50) Century in America! I met an older couple at the Carlisle Import Nationals back in May, who had a beautiful 1980 Audi, and a 2002 Lancia Thesis that they bought in Canada and drove over the border into Washington state. Like the '02 Lancia, this 1997 Toyota Century was brought into the US via the Canadian border before it was technically legal, and titled in Washington; I saw the Washington plates on the Century and immediately knew it was the same guy! The Century was brought into America in about 2017, and is now legal here; I have no idea how the couple was able to register it in Washington, since they seem to live here in PA, but I'm thinking the guy has an LLC or something...

    The Toyota Century as a whole is a beautiful vehicle, but what makes the G50 so special?!?! How about the fact that under the hood lurks Toyota's only V-12 engine, the 1GZ-FE!
