sayin' hello to my new fam...aloha !!

Me: an Islander re-located to SE TX. Bought this 2003 V8 SR5 about a year or so ago and already spent a peso or 2 on her. Got a ways to go but she's getting there. In fact, if someone can point me in the right direction for a aftermarket skid to replace this wimpish OEM... even better if it has a removable plate for the oil filter and fits a Relentless Fab bumper without any major modifications. Aluminum preferred...

Just had a 33 gal LRA auxiliary tank installed at Brave Motorsports in Houston, so had to relocate the spare using a RIGd multi-fit Ultraswing (mounted the tire right after I snapped these photos).

Welcome ICUMF! I love the rig. You should get some serious range with the aux tank...I've been thinking about that mod for awhile but have settled on 2 extra jerrycans for now.

Appreciate the welcome gents, think I’m going to enjoy spending time here!

TrailT, the new tank is surely spendy, but for convenience and peace of mind, it certainly will have its value. A few times a year I spend time in the backcountry, where the nearest towns are not only tiny but few and far between. In fact, I just got back from SE MT, running around in 4WD so we were constantly refueling our vehicles and jerry cans. I was in my 17 Tundra Pro with the 38 gal tank, but there was a time or 2 I had to use the cans to make it into town, squeezing all the way...I know this LRA tank will definitely help.

Thank you mousemeat. Once upon a time I had a ‘98 Ltd, to me it was the shizzle. Don’t even like thinking how long ago that was although it don’t seem so.
