Ok, so I got myself a set of four beautiful TRD pro wheels this weekend. Now I need some new rubber to replace the horrid Dunlop’s my truck came width. I am content with putting the stock size (265/70r17) on the wheels.

However, I would like to put slightly narrower and taller tires on for better snow performance and lower rolling resistance. What is the width and height range for 7in by 17 wheels with the stock suspension. I googled some stuff and found the attached chart, but it does not seem to be tailored to trucks. My gut feeling is that anything from 225 to 265 would work as a range. Appreciate any input and pros/cons of different tire widths from more experienced guys, thanks in advance!

A popular "pizza cutter" size for our trucks is 255/80 or 255/85. Typically no rubbing from what I have read.
