My tire pressure indicator light just started blinking. I've filled and checked the pressure but the light still blinks.
Is there a way of testing to find out which tire pressure sensor has gone bad?

They have it at the shop.
Did you refill all to 32 then press the reset button, or does it not have one?

Mine, does not have one. The last flat I had, I was towing my boat, and it still drove fine.

Did you also check the spare, if it's low it will trigger the light.

Blinking TPMS light indicates a system problem, not just a low tire. Likely a bad sensor.

If you have a 2006 4R like your signature says, its most likely dead battery in the sensors.
Look at it, if it blinks about 90-100 times after you crank it up and then goes solid, its battery either low or dead.
You can take it to a good tire shop or Toyota place and they can plug up to a machine and it tell you what the level is on each battery. If the batteries get low the blinking after you crank up is to alert you that there is a problem with the TPMS.

Mine just started doing it when the weather turned cold. Says 28-29 psi on all tires. I filled to 34 psi on my air pump. Next day same thing. 3rd Toyota with sensors. Never had this problem. Running 285's. Taco had 285's and never a problem. Weird to think all 4 sensors would go bad at the same time in the same manner or my tire pump sucks?

If it's been a while since you've had these sensors you'll want to replace them all anyway. There is a way to manually check and determine which one is bad.

Make sure all the tires, spare too, have 32 lb. pressure
Turn the key so you can see the flashing TPMS light. Engine shouldn't be running
Starting with the F/L let out about 5 lbs. of pressure. If the light is solid, that sensor is working. If still blinking, that's the bad sensor
If the sensor is good, air the tire up to 32 lbs. and go to the F/R tire and repeat the procedure.
Continue around the car and finish with the spare.

You can opt to have a dealership replace all the sensors which is very expensive. My son opted to have a tire store do it but they used their own sensors, not the OEM Denso sensors used by dealerships. (Techstream software is very expensive so usually only the dealerships will have it.)

I bought 5 Denso sensors off of Amazon and an Autel TS501 tool as well. I paid a tire store to install the sensors and balance the 5 tires (I took them off myself at home and used another vehicle to take the tires up to them) and then I used the Autel to write the new IDs to the ECU. Everything working fine again and I can use the Autel to walk around the car and check the tire pressure, temperature, battery status and codes.

I had the pressure indicator light blinking as well.

It was 1 low battery [Discount (Americas) Tire confirmed].

Naturally, they suggested I replace all 4. I don't think my 2018 has a TPMS sensor in the spare. I don't think your 2006 will have one either. Could be wrong on this though.

I had Discount only replaced the 1 sensor with their own generic brand. So I have 3 Denso's and 1 generic. It's been good for 40,000 miles now.

4th Gens do have a sensor in the spare, 5th Gen do not have a sensor in the spare.

He should just replace all 5 IMHO, if you just replace the bad one the others are sure to soon follow, might as well do them all at one if it can be afforded.

Thanks for all the feedback. I checked with the dealership, killer expensive; Les Schwab more reasonable; Checked with Costco where I got the tires and they said $256 installed.
