Icon Stage 7 Lift. TRD Pro Wheels with Falken Wildpeak AT4W, OTT tune, aFe cold air intake. CBI skids and sliders.
Looking to purchase another set of Falken Wildpeak AT4Ws in 33" or 34" and looking for feedback on load rating C & E. I have been running the AT4W in standard load rating with the stock suspension and tire size. They feel smooth while soaking up road vibrations and have performed perfect for my needs. I plan to do more off-roading since recently lifting my 4runner and want to upsize and looking for a stronger rating.

Has anyone had experience with C & E load ratings in the AT4Ws?

Can you tell a ride quality difference?

Not with those specific tires, but I run 285/70/17 Toyo AT3's in C during winter, and 295/70/17 Yokohama Geolandar MT's in E during summer.

Ride quality on both is fine. If anything, the C's feel stiffer. The E's basically ride like big pillows. Edit: It's worth noting that they are two different style tires from different manufacturers. Which can be a big factor in ride quality.

The biggest thing you'll probably notice is that you'll feel the extra weight in acceleration and braking. And, the obvious fuel economy drop.

I know a bunch of members here run LT tires, so you'll probably get a lot of good feedback. It seems that a lot folks find it worthwhile for the added puncture resistance.

    Also, welcome to the forum!

No experience in Falken LT sizes. I only know Falken SL. But on specs they are very heavy.

In BFG KO2 world I can clearly see the difference between Load C vs Load E. I feel every bump on the road with Load E. I was running the low as 32psi on pavement but still too stiff for me. Sold them and got Load C tires again. Could be because that time KO2 Load C had 2 ply side wall vs Load E had 3ply side wall. I think nowadays new versions like KO3, AT4W even load Cs have 3ply side wall, I could be wrong, too lazy to double check.

I would still keep the C rated tires.
