    Guys,
Thanks for welcoming me to the forum. Have a question. My son has a 2wd 2013 limited.
He wants new wheels and tires. What is the best size option for something that has a little off road feel but knowing this is a 2wd 4runner?
    Thanks in advance.

When I had my 2011 Honda Pilot, I had Michelin Defenders on it. What a fantastic tire all around. We did do a little off roading and they handled fine. Those dang tires lasted forever.

My opinion: Swap in SR5 17” wheels, put on a set of BFG Trail-Terrains for the off-road look. (I assume that’s what you mean by “feel”)

But if you don’t care about the looks, I like my Defender LTX M/S set. M/S2 and the X LT A/S at warehouse clubs does it too since the M/S might not be available on that fitment. Great all-around tire.

This is very helpful. Also, admittedly I probably should have phrased my question a little differently. I like the idea of the 17" wheels.

Any idea if these would rub? Remember 2WD

    +1 vote for this option

I would avoid tires like KO3 for a 2wd. A waste of money in gas and onroad feel.
I highly suggest that OP avoid Load C / D / E. Stay with Standard Load tires and enjoy the comfort and still decently capable for gravel / forest roads.

Yep, that’s the one and the stock 17” size.
